    Hi

Since Enfold 5.0 there is a problem with Layerslider Background Videos (only in Safari browser). When starting the page, a section of the video is visible for a short time (1 sec.) in the lower right corner (it is not the poster image). Only then the video starts in fullscreen mode. In Chrome and Firefox this effect does not occur. What can be the cause?

    Thanks for your review.

    Regards, Mike

    Hey mediaformers,
Thanks for your patience and the link to your site, but I’m not seeing this in Safari v15.4 on Mac Monterey v12.3.1
    What version are you using?

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi Mike
Thank you for your reply. We are using Safari 15.5 and Monterey 12.4, so the latest versions. What can we do?

    Best regards,
    Mike

Addendum: The problem occurs in all browsers in mobile mode (tablet and smartphone). On desktop only in Safari.

    Hi,
Thanks for the feedback, I updated my Mac to Safari 15.5 and Monterey 12.4 and tested on desktop and in responsive design mode for iPad & iPhone, but could not reproduce.
I don’t have an actual iPad iPhone, but I tested on my Android phone in Chrome and could not reproduce.
I’m not sure why you are seeing this, try clearing your browser cache.
Please note that testing with iPads & iPhones can be hard to clear the cache, often you need to also clear the history to fully purge the cache, following these steps for Safari and note Step 4 where you will Clear the History.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi Mike
That is strange. Of course I have already cleared the cache and history.
Now I have updated another Macbook Pro to Safari 15.5 and Monterey 12.4. The error now occurs here as well (it didn’t before). Actually it should occur after the update also with you. Incomprehensible!

    What to do next?

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi,
So you had another Mac with Safari v15.4 that didn’t show the error, but now that it’s updated to Safari 15.5 it does so the error?
I have asked the rest of the team to check if they have a Mac, can you please post a screencast of the error so we can compare.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi,
Yes exactly. Another Macbook Pro 2020. The error occurred only after the update.
Regarding screencast: Can I attach a file or do I have to upload it to a cloud server (Dropbox?).

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi,
Unfortunately, the team was unable to reproduce the issue on your site with their iPhones, but since we have not had any other reports of this, perhaps is an iPhone 13 specific issue?

    Best regards,
    Mike
