I’m running Enfold 4.8.7.1 on WordPress 5.8.1 on PHP 7.4.25 and whenever I try to save any option(s) in the Enfold > Theme Options, the screen updates and flashes the
All Right!
All Options saved, no problems whatsoever. But when I refresh the Theme Options page, the value(s) did not change.
I’ve deactivated all plugins and tried making changes, but the problem persists.
I’ve performed a hard refresh and cache delete, but the problem persists. It seems as though when the jQuery code is updating the values, it isn’t really communicating with the database.
I created an Admin login (details in the Private Content).
Please advise.

November 8, 2021 at 9:23 am #1328190Hey scottmclay,
Thank you for the inquiry.
We cannot reproduce the issue on our installation, so the problem is probably caused by a plugin or custom script. Have you tried disabling the plugins temporarily?

Yes I did.
In my post I stated that I did:I’ve deactivated all plugins and tried making changes, but the problem persists.
Did you log in to my installation and attempt to make any changes? Once you make a change on my installation, did you verify that the change was made on the web site? For example, change the color of the footer background.

Please advise.
November 9, 2021 at 8:04 am #1328308Hi,
Thank you for the update.
Yes, we did try to toggle the preloading option and save the changes but it reverted back to its previous status. It works when we deactivated all the plugins and refresh the theme options. Please try to activate the plugins one at a time to find the cause of the issue.

IsmaelNovember 9, 2021 at 8:36 am #1328311This may be related (or not), but I made the mistake of changing the serialized data in the “_Options” table. This totally screwed up the layout of my site, but it did effectively reset the Option data shown in the Enfold Options menus. I went through each item, matching against another site I have in development, and copied the data. I would save it with each option and then check the site in a different browser instance. Everything was going great.
But when I added the “Phone Number or small info text” data in the Header options, I included a couple of emojis. When I tried to save the data, it gave the
All Right!
All Options saved, no problems whatsoever.message. But, it didn’t save the data. Because other options I changed after that also gave me the “All Right!” message, but the data did not change.
Once I removed the emojis from the Phone Number data, everything seemed to work just fine.
I had the same issue on the other site I’m developing and when I removed the emojis from the Phone Number data, Voilà! It was then able to save changes to the Enfold Theme Options.
Apparently, the emojis screw up the serialized data.
I believe the emoji culprits were: ☎ ✉
Whew!
ClayNovember 10, 2021 at 3:11 pm #1328519Hi,
Thank you for the info.
We cannot reproduce the issue on our own installation. Saving the theme options works with or without the emojis in the phone number field. Did you try enabling the plugins again? We were able to save the theme options in your installation after deactivating the plugins.

IsmaelNovember 10, 2021 at 3:49 pm #1328528Interesting…
Yes, since I removed the emojis and you having disabled the plugins, I re-enabled the plugins and have been able to save the theme options with any issues.
I’m glad it’s working now, regardless of the prior cause.
I suppose you can close this thread now.
Thanks for the reply.
