    I’m using the latest version of Enfold (4.8.4) but can’t do the PHP upgrade. I’m stuck at version 7.0 and I can’t upgrade to any higher version (7.1, 7.2 or 7.3) because the site goes down and I get the message “a critical problem has occurred on your site”.
    The hosting says it’s not their problem.
    Unfortunately I have some plugins that need an updated php version. How can I fix this?

    Hi Pandora,

    Can you give us FTP access as well? so we can check the error logs and see the real cause of the issue.
    Just post the credentials in private content.

    Best regards,
    Nikko

    Hi soniamilan,

    Thanks for giving us FTP access.
    I have checked the files however there’s no error_logs file.
    Can you try to find this line of code in wp-config.php file:

    define( 'WP_DEBUG', false );

    and replace it with:

    define( 'WP_DEBUG', true );

    Then try to upgrade your PHP version and see the error and post it here.

    Best regards,
    Nikko

    Hi,

    I use Linode + Serverpilot. I have 2 Enfold sites. One has woocommerce ( e-commerce site) the other is just an official site but has lots of pages etc. Both sites have PHP 7.3 version. I do not see any problem with the 7.3 or even 7.4.

    Best Regards
