    This week I made an update to Enfold 4.4.
    Now I see that the “Raster” Layout of the four articles on my startpage of my blog changed significant.

    The font size of the article’s headlines changed to “h1” I suppose which is much bigger now and does not fit to the rest of the page.
    I see many more lines of the article and the preview was well “designed” before. Now it looks not well designed.
    If I look in the article I see that the picture became smaller and the headline is to large. “h1” I suppose as well.

    I tried everything to get the old look and feel but I was not successful.
    Where can I change these settings?
    What is the reason that the blog layout changed?

    Thank you and best regards, Udo

    Hi tlg1966,

    Here is the code you can put in Enfold > General Styling > Quick Css,  if it does not work, put into themes/enfold/css/custom.css

    .html_modern-blog .avia-content-slider .slide-entry-title {
      font-size: 18px;
      text-transform: none;
    }

    You can remove the second rule if you want them to be uppercase.

    If you need further assistance please let us know.

    Best regards,
    Victoria

    The article’s headline font size is smaller now. Thank you for that.
    But the other changes coming with 4.4 update still remain:

    >I see many more lines of the article and the preview was well “designed” before. Now it looks not well designed.
    >If I look in the article I see that the picture became smaller and the headline is to large. “h1” I suppose as well.

    Will that be fixed in the next enfold release?

    thank you and best regards, Udo

    I installed on older version of my side with Enfold 4.2.2 on another computer and compared the Enfold -> Blog styles:

    In Enfold 4.2.2 three blog styles where available:
    – Default (Business)
    – Elegant
    – Modern business
    Default business looked quite well. We used it.

    In Enfold 4.4 there are only two options
    – Default (business)
    – modern

    Layout of “Default business” seems to be changed to layout of “Elegant”
    It looks like described in my first post.
    Hope next update will come backk with “default business” layout as it was in previous versions.

    Thank you, Udo

    Hi,

    @tlg1966
    : Is the language set to “German”? We just found out that the translations for the “Default (Business)” and “Modern (Business)” is the same. For now, please install the loco translate plugin, search for the blog styling strings or text and translate them accordingly.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi Ismael,

    Ismael>Is the language set to “German”?
    Wordpress -> Aktualisierungen shows 4.9.6–de_DE is installed
    Wordpress -> Einstellungen -> Sprache der Website -> “Deutsch”

    wplang is not present in wp-config.php as it is deprecated.

    I find de_DE language files in theme/enfold:
    (uiserver):u37125064:~/troisdorfer-lg.de$ find ./wp-content/themes/enfold/ -name “*de_DE*” -exec ls -l {} \;
    -rw-r–r– 1 u37125064 ftpusers 348876 May 24 18:51 ./wp-content/themes/enfold/lang/de_DE.mo
    -rw-r–r– 1 u37125064 ftpusers 123483 May 24 18:51 ./wp-content/themes/enfold/lang/de_DE_formal.mo
    -rw-r–r– 1 u37125064 ftpusers 1100082 May 24 18:51 ./wp-content/themes/enfold/lang/de_DE.po
    -rw-r–r– 1 u37125064 ftpusers 651722 May 24 18:51 ./wp-content/themes/enfold/lang/de_DE_formal.po
    (uiserver):u37125064:~/troisdorfer-lg.de$

    So from my understanding “German” is the language of my website.

    Regarding your idea with the loco translate plugin:
    I do not really know what these blog styling strings look like and what a valid translation is.
    As I do not have background it is a “try and error” for me and I fear to run into trouble in other areas.

    Any chance that 4.4.1 will come back with the “old” blog layout?

    Thank you and best regards, Udo

    #967696

    In 4.2.2 there were 3 entries for Blog Styling:
    Default (Business) -> Default (Geschäftlich)
    Elegant -> not translated
    Modern Business -> not found by loco

    In 4.4 I see 2 entries in Blog Styling:
    Standard (Geschäftlich)
    Elegant

    I have no idea wht to translate now.
    Any hint from kriesi is very welcome.

    BTW:
    I see that the Menu bar “Theme Optionen” does not work proper.
    I only can select one sub menu. Then I have to use the menu within the page.
    The menu on top does not have any function anymore.
    Worked proper in 4.2.2

    best regards, Udo

    Hi,

    Please perform the below steps:

    1. Disable “merging and compression” for CSS and JS files from Enfold > Performance.
    2. If any plugins are installed deactivate the plugins for testing purpose.
    3. Hard refresh by pressing Ctrl + Shift + F5 on your browser or press the F12 key to open chrome dev tools and right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”.

    If that does not help please provide us with working credentials and permission to check the issue on the backend. (Previous credentials do not work!).

    Best regards,
    Vinay

    #968245

    Hi,

    @Vinay
    : I did as described by you. There is no merging and compression setting (and never was before). No caching plugin installed (and never was before).
    Furthermore I deactivated compression and caching at client side via .htaccess. Settings now have a “#” in front.
    -> no progress.

    Previous credentials are working now again.

    Surprising that menu “Theme option” only allows to select one sub menu. Trying to select a second sub menu does not have any effect. Meaning that according page is not displayed. Maybe an indication that the Enfold 4.4 installation is somehow wrong.

    Good luck and thank you, Udo

    Hi,
    just installed Enfold 4.4.1 and got back my “old” Blog design. So issue seems to be solved with 4.4.1.
    Thank you very much and best regards, Udo
