I have learned the hard way not to update Enfold anymore as soon as updates come out, but to watch the forum and see what the known issues are. One of the big known issues seems to be full screen videos do not work, and I have seen various css fixes proposed. I was planning to just wait for a 4.2.1 to be issued with the video fix and other known issues fixed, but I do not see that forthcoming.
Two questions:
1. Is there now one official css fix for the full screen video issue in 4.2?
2. Is there a plan to address known bug(s) in 4.2 with a 4.2.1 soon? I prefer this option to cluttering up my custom css with css that will not be needed after patches are released in future updates.
Thanks

John TorvikDecember 4, 2017 at 5:56 pm #884736So it’s a couple weeks later and I still haven’t updated to 4.2 due to the bugs (video, etc)…. Any word on when the next update is coming?
December 4, 2017 at 6:11 pm #884738Hi Rob,
Hope you are doing well :)
Our dev team has made so many changes since Enfold 4.2 was released. They are going to be reviewed by Kriesi and hopefully we will release a minor update before new year.

January 15, 2018 at 5:08 am #897366Hi,
Not yet, but we are looking to release 4.2.1 today. We are still testing so I can’t promise that it will be available today though.

January 16, 2018 at 4:36 am #897854February 3, 2018 at 1:06 am #907143Hi, I updated enfold and I get the following message in browser:
Briefly unavailable for scheduled maintenance. Check back in a minute. After that, I get error 500 and I don’t know what to do.
I checked version of php on godaddy, it is 7.1
Here is the last line of error_log file if it can be helpful to you:
02-Feb-2018 22:35:01 UTC] PHP Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘config-wpml/config.php’ (include_path=’.:/opt/alt/php71/usr/share/pear’) in /home/vladamitrovic95/public_html/wp-content/themes/enfold/functions.php on line 31Can you help me.
I contacted godaddy suport and they checked everything and said to me that probably there is error in updated themeFebruary 3, 2018 at 1:12 am #907144Go Daddy is terrible. I used to run into issues like this all the time even when updating plugins, much less a theme. Since I switched to WP Engine my life has been much easier… and none of the constant up-selling that Go Daddy does.
A mod will be better able to help you with your specific issue and you may want to create a new thread just for that. They will likely tell you to upload new theme files via FTP and overwrite all the old ones, assuming you did the update from your WordPress dashboard.
You may also want to check out this article… I had this problem when I had Go Daddy and this fix got my site back up:
But definitely my #1 recommendation, after you get your site back up, is to find a better hosting provider. There are many that are far superior to Go Daddy and just a little more $$$.
Good luck!
February 3, 2018 at 1:43 am #907145Thank you for your comment. I found that article and deleted file. After that, i got 500 error.
I will definitely think about changing hosting.I will try with back up I have from last month.
Cheers!February 22, 2018 at 10:52 pm #916377I love enfold- but am getting errors on updates for several sites:
Warning: require_once(config-layerslider/config.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/diana321/public_html/montgomerycountyairpark/wp-content/themes/enfold/functions.php on line 41Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘config-layerslider/config.php’ (include_path=’.:/opt/alt/php71/usr/share/pear’) in /home/diana321/public_html/montgomerycountyairpark/wp-content/themes/enfold/functions.php on line 41
February 22, 2018 at 11:17 pm #916393Hey,
@dianajuhn Please try re-updating the theme via FTP and overwrite all files – kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/. If that does not help, please start a thread under Enfold sub forum.Cheers!
