When i enter a valid Google Maps API Key to use all map related theme functions

    enfold returns with this answer:

Could not connect to Mailchimp with this API Key. Please try again with a different key
You might also want to check your internet connection and make sure that mailchimp.com is available

    Hey

Please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.

    Login credentials include:

    • The URL to the login screen.
    • A valid username (with full administration capabilities).
    • As well as a password for that username.
    • permission to deactivate plugins if necessary.

    Best regards,
    Yigit

    Hi,

It seems like theme files were not overwritten completely. Could you please try re-updating the theme via FTP and overwrite all files – kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/? :)

    Best regards,
    Yigit

    Hi Yigit,
I have exactly the same problem as dennis.
When I want to activate Google Maps API, this is a Mailchimp API key which is asked, as you can see on this screenshot : https://imgur.com/23cgqRk
I tried many times to overwrite theme files and I think you did it too today trying to solve another issue (https://kriesi.at/support/topic/privacy-cookies-enfold-documentation/), but nothing never changed.
What could I do to fix that?
    Thanks a lot!

    Hi,

@fcp I was looking into this and realised some “Google” services translated as “Mailchimp” in French translation. I corrected them and we will include it updated language file in upcoming version.

You can insert Google Maps API key in that field. Please ignore “Mailchimp” in description :)

    Hi Yigit,
After some update, the message is now ok (“Enter a valid Google Maps API Key to use all map related theme functions”).
Anyway, when I create and enter an Google API key, the same message is always displayed : “Could not connect to Google Maps with this API Key.”
I don’t know what to do. I tried to deactivate all extensions, but the same error message is displayed everytime.
    Could you help please?
    Thanks a lot!

    Hi fcp,

Please open a new thread and include WordPress admin login details in private so that we can have a closer look at your site.
