I am having a situation with the portfolio pages that I can’t figure out. Please look at this link:

    http://www.blaircomm.us/blaircomm14/samples-of-our-creative-work/

Then, select any category and you will see that it opens a page within the page, a fame within a frame, so that there are two scrollbar to the right–one for the main page and one for the page within the page.

When I inspect closer the footer is gaining a huge depth for some reason as well. The upshot is that it looks odd and may be confusing to clients if they scroll down and find this 1-foot deep footer.

I hope you can see my problem. I am assuming this is a function that is happening within the portfolio page code, but I don’t know what or where it is. I would like to eliminate the creation of the page within a page and the huge footer when a category is selected.

Can you help me with this?

    Thank you.

    Hey blaircomm!

What browser is this happening on? When viewing your site now I’m not getting any issue and this would be the first I’ve heard of anything like it with the 2.7 update.

    Best regards,
    Devin

    Hi:

    Thanks for the response.

I find that it is happening universally on the following:

    MAC PPC OS 10.5.8
    Safari 5.0.6
    FireFox 3.6.3

    MAC INTEL OS 10.8.5
    Safari 6.1.3
    Chrome 34.0.1847.131

    WINDOWS 7
Explorer – most current updated version
Chrome – most current updated version

I have put up two jpegs at http://www.blaircomm.us/pix.html to show you how it looks on all systems I have—Windows and Mac. The footer runs about 2400 pixels deep, i.e. two full screen depths. It looks like the portfolio category is opening within the original portfolio window and for some reason loosing or confusing the the footer css specs. Perhaps just setting the category window as “non-scrolling” would fix the issue as then any overflow would just be inaccessible and not show and the main window would scroll to view all—in other words it might eliminate the second window. I would have to poke around trial and error and it would take me some time, (i.e. forever), as I am not really a programmer.

I hope you can make sense of it.

    Thank you.

I have just updated Word Press to 3.9 – and to the latest Enfold update. Thankfully the double window does not seem to be happening anymore and all looks to be working well again. I hope that will handle it. I wanted to alert you…I’ll let you know if it appears again.
