Hi there! Slowly but steadily I’m heading towards an AWESOME website, thanks to you guys! It’s Enfold from now on…. :)
Some small questions that I can’t figure out:
1) on long pages, for example the portfolio page, a ‘scroll to top’ button appears. Which is fabulous of course. But it shows as an empty box. Only when I hover over the box, I can see it’s a scroll to top button. I guess there should be an arrow in it? How can I make that appear?
2) I have a similar problem on the mobile phone. There is a menu button in the upper right corner, but it’s an empty (and hardly visible) box. I think there’s supposed to be three horizontal stripes in there?
3) If I click on an image from my portfolio to enlarge it, one or two small black boxes with a white cross in it appears, either above or below the large picture. Why? How do I make that go away?Thank you again for your valuable help! :) Kind regards, Eline
November 2, 2014 at 8:29 pm #344968Hi Eline!
Your entypo-fontello iconfont is not loading for some reason. Let’s try the following,
1. Deactivate all plugins.
2. Completely delete the theme before downloading / uploading a fresh copy.If the above steps do not fix it then send us a WordPress and FTP login so we can take a closer look. Be sure to set your reply as private.
Cheers!

November 5, 2014 at 12:23 am #346257Oh, I’m almost ready to start moving my site to the live environment, so it’s (at some point) not in http://www.dreamcakefactory.nl/wordpress anymore, but in http://www.dreamcakefactory.nl
November 5, 2014 at 12:47 am #346272Hey!
3.) Go to edit your portfolio page. In Avia Layout Builder right under your picture there is an element which you need to remove (it will only appear while mouse over).
Best regards,
AndyNovember 6, 2014 at 12:39 pm #347061Thank you Andy! Got it! :)
But my most important problem is still standing… :( On a mobile phone, the box in the top right corner is white and empty. It is almost impossible for visitors to find the menu like this, and so my site is completely crippled.
Related to that problem (I think) is the empty white box that appears on long pages, that should be a scroll to top button. Both boxes work, but the arrow / horizontal menu stripes are missing. Pleeeease help? :)
November 6, 2014 at 2:51 pm #347091Hey!
It says “Forbidden. You don’t have permission to access / on this server.” when you check your new site. I asked my teammates to check your website. Please wait to hear from them
Cheers!
YigitNovember 9, 2014 at 1:53 pm #348328Hey!
Please add this to your Quick CSS: #advanced_menu_toggle, #advanced_menu_hide { background-color: #7c6853; }
You can change the color code to any color you want.
Belonging to the missing stripes/typo, please deactivate all plugins and see if it gets fixed. After that activate the plugins one by one to see which one causes the issue.

AndyNovember 11, 2014 at 10:21 pm #349704Hi Andy, thanks for your help! I added the code, and the white box in the upper right corner is now a brownish color, which is better. But without the stripes it’s still not super clear that there’s a menu hidden in there…
I tried deactivating the plugins already, because Elliot suggested that as well on november 2nd, but it didn’t help. Even after deactivating all the plugins, the problem of the missing stripes and arrow remained. :( I tried again just now, just to be sure, but problem is still there. So it’s not in one of the plugins. I can even remember the white box (scroll to top button) being there from the very first beginning, but at that time I really didn’t care that much. But the missing menu stripes on a mobile phone is much more of a problem. I really hope you guys can help me!! Most of my clients use my site on their phone….

Thank you for the info.
All data-av_icon attribute is missing, that is why the icons for mobile and scroll to top arrow are missing. Did you add any modifications regarding the icons? How did you transfer the website? We always recommend this plugin when transferring the website with the Enfold theme: http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-migrate-db/
Refer to this link for more info on how to properly migrate your enfold website from production to development vice versa:

IsmaelNovember 14, 2014 at 1:58 pm #351233Hi Ismael!
Nope, didn’t change anything about the icons…. wouldn’t know how to do that if my life depended on it…. ;)
The problem of the missing icons was already there from the start, long before I did the move. Even before I downloaded any plugins. I noticed it on the first page I made/changed, but didn’t give it much notice then… (I thought I used that WP migrate DB plugin by the way, but maybe I didn’t do it right? The site worked fine though, after the move) So I guess it’s not the move that caused the problem? By the way, I DID import a demo. I used the Photography demo as a starting point for my website. Could that be the reason?
But anyway: how do i fix that missing data-av_icon attribute? Thank you Ismael!!
Kind regards, ElineNovember 15, 2014 at 6:34 am #351697Hi!
Thank you for the info.
I’m really not sure why icons are missing. Please get a fresh copy of the Enfold theme from your themeforest account then override the old one via FTP. Refer to this link: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
Maybe, files are missing or corrupted. And add this code on .htaccess file:
<FilesMatch "\.(ttf|otf|woff)$"> <IfModule mod_headers.c> Header set Access-Control-Allow-Origin "*" </IfModule> </FilesMatch>
Please create a backup of .htaccess file just in case.
Cheers!
IsmaelNovember 19, 2014 at 6:50 pm #353877Hi Ismael, where do I find this .htaccess file? Thank you!
November 19, 2014 at 7:59 pm #353925Update: I put a fresh copy of Enfold over my current Enfold folder via FTP in the meantime: no change….
So updating Enfold didn’t work, shutting down all the plugins didn’t work (problem was there from the start, before the first plugin even), I’m getting pretty desperate! Hopefully this added code to .htaccess will do the trick, but I have no idea where to find this file, or how to change it.
I also checked out the demo that I used as a starting point, but there it looks fine…
If there is ANY solution whatsoever (disabling these buttons, and add new ones?? I don’t know if that’s possible…) I would be SO happy!! Thank you guys for your help!
Kind regards, Eline
November 20, 2014 at 11:12 am #354195Hi!
If you can provide us with the FTP access, we’ll add the .htaccess file for you. For security purposes, please contact your hosting provider. I’m sure they can handle it.
Cheers!
