Hi, I think your latest update created a glitch because most of the emojis now display as “?”.
It’s gonna take a lot of time to edit all the pages and re-insert the emoji, was wondering if you can fix this or some code I can add to recover them to display correctlyOctober 28, 2020 at 7:15 am #1256282Hey Jacopotj,
Thanks for giving us the link.
I have tried emoji on the latest version of Enfold and it still works fine.
Try to go to Enfold > Performance > Disable Emoji/Smiley Support and check if this is disabled.
If this does not help, please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.- Install and activate ” Temporary Login Without Password “.
- Go to ” Users > Temporary Logins ” on the left-side menu.
- Click ” Create New “.
- Add the email address for the account ( you can use (Email address hidden if logged out) ), as well as the ” Role ” making that the highest possible and the expiry about four days
( to be sure that we have enough time to debug ). - Click ” Submit “.
- You’ll now have a temporary account. Please provide us here in the private section the URL, so we can login and help you out.
When your issue is fixed, you can always remove the plugin!
If you prefer to not use the plugin, you can manually create an admin user and post the login credentials in the “private data” field.Best regards,
NikkoOctober 28, 2020 at 3:09 pm #1256400Hi, I will give you admin login, not a problem.
On homepage I re-inserted mysefl so they work, but all other pages have the issue so it’s better a general fix or it’d take few hours to to all the edits. :)
you can see most emojis display as question mark (?)October 29, 2020 at 5:10 pm #1256816Hi Jacopotj,
Thanks for giving us admin access.
I have checked it and to be honest, I was expecting it was some unknown character with a question mark showing in the backend, however, it’s fully converted to a question mark.
And I do not see a way of fixing this except to rollback to the backup.Best regards,
NikkoDecember 1, 2020 at 1:49 am #1264083Hi, happened again!!
All emojis are question marks and all footer widgets disappeared1 :((
This is crazy, it takes so much time to fix!How can I fix or revert to working version?
It happened 1st dicember, not sure if a coincidence but its a real problemDecember 1, 2020 at 1:51 am #1264085All emojis disappear and footer and text widgets disappeared. Crazy.
I dont understand if its a hosting or theme problem, but if also widgets get deleted, I think its a theme problem.December 1, 2020 at 2:02 am #1264090I just restored a backed up version so its “fixed”.
Please let me know if you have any idea why this happens (and how to prevent it). :)December 1, 2020 at 4:16 am #1264112Hi Jacopotj,
Can you tell us the details on what actions are made before those issues appeared?
If it is a theme issue as you have said then this would be a common issue on this forum but this is the first time I have heard of this issue and giving us more details would help us evaluate it.
If we can reproduce the issue then it could be a bug of the theme and we’ll forward it to our devs.Best regards,

WP Rocket disables emoji when enabled however when I tried to disable the plugin it does not seem to have any effect.
We would like to debug your site but it will need deactivating of plugins.
Can you setup a staging site for us? so we can try to debug it on your site without affecting your live site and disrupting any of your visitors.
Here’s a simple tutorial you can follow: https://themeisle.com/blog/wordpress-staging-site/Best regards,

Thanks for giving us permission.
I tried to disable all plugins and then switched the theme to Twenty Twenty One however the emoji is still not showing up (see screenshot in private content).
I believe this is disabled in your hosting.Best regards,
