Hello.
I hope you can help. I’m not sure what file to edit to make a youtube video iframe insert with https:// instead of just http://. I’ve tried changing http code in the video.php shortcodes. I’ve also tried just entering in blog post the youtube url with the https but the output iframe is always http. I have secured site and the videos won’t load in chrome without the iframe being https.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers!
BethanyFebruary 11, 2014 at 1:19 pm #222204Hey BWIdaho!
I’m not so sure about this but please try to install a plugin like http://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-https/ to handle the right prefix or protocol of embedded objects.

IsmaelMarch 7, 2017 at 1:26 am #756682Did this work? I am facing the same problem. On inspecting, it seems there is a mismatch problem.
March 8, 2017 at 6:35 am #757491March 8, 2017 at 7:35 am #757532Yes, I did, but it did not work.
In the end, I had to upload the same video on Vimeo and that worked. Please fix the Youtube problem.
March 8, 2017 at 8:16 am #757581Hey!
When embeding from youtube, you have to be sure, both links are on https that are generated from either embed plugin or from the iframe.
Thank you

NikkoMarch 16, 2017 at 2:36 pm #761928No need for the login credentials anymore. The suggestion by ChuNchO worked well.
You guys need to get this bug fixed. It needlessly wastes your users’ time.
