I’ve tried using both the Enfold Shortcode, and the WordPress Media Embed code to get a YouTube Video to display thumbnail with controls in a single post blog entry, and it doesn’t show up in either Chrome or Safari for Mac. I’ve made sure to use http and not https, but still just shows a big open space but no content
January 4, 2018 at 6:40 pm #893317Hey MacMyDays,
Credentials did not work for me. Could you please update the credentials.
Could you please attach a mockup of what you’re trying to achieve?
Best regards,
VictoriaJanuary 4, 2018 at 8:00 pm #893391All I’m trying to achieve is to get a youtube video on the page – either to play on the page or in a lightbox. I just want to get the video.
Don’t see a way to add attachment to this post to share screen shot.

January 5, 2018 at 7:18 pm #893809Hi MacMyDays,
I see the video in the preview mode, is it not working on your end?

January 6, 2018 at 11:37 am #894035Hi,
The video is showing both on the back and frontend when I preview the post, did you try clearing your browser cache or a different browser?
Best regards,
RikardJanuary 6, 2018 at 8:52 pm #894194THANKS RIKARD…STILL PROBLEMS
OKAY, in Safari none of the three possible ’embed’ code shows up. Even after clearing Cache.
- In Chrome, the Kriesl shortcode DOES NOT show. So there’s something in the Shortcode that is broken.
- The generic WordPress embed shortcode YES WORKS.
- The YouTube iFrame code YES WORKS.
You can check out the site again, and see if my SHORTCODE is wrong perhaps, or is there something deeper rooted in the Enfold theme.
Plus, WHY won’t any of the three options work in Enfold in Safari?
January 8, 2018 at 3:24 am #894552Hi,
The site is running on an old version of the theme, 4.0.7, which is not compatible with the WordPress 4.9. Please upgrade to version 4.2.1.
Best regards,
IsmaelJanuary 8, 2018 at 3:54 am #894562Hi Ismael,
Okay, that’s interesting, because when I check the Dashboard it shows me all my Themes are up to date, so there would be no way for me to have known that Enfold had an update available. Does this theme support automatic updating?
January 8, 2018 at 5:03 am #894579Hi,
Yes, it should notify you when an update is available but in a few cases, transients get in the way. Please remove the transients or update the theme manually via FTP.
// https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-sweep/ ( please create a restore point before using the plugin )
Updating via FTP:
