    Hi there. I’ve tried embedding a YouTube video in a category description by just placing the the video URL and by using the [embed][/embed] approaches and neither works. The URL is displayed exactly as entered while the shortcode and its contents are stripped out of the output entirely. I’ve confirmed that other shortcodes work in the category description and that the URL and shortcode work in the body of a post.

    Any idea how to enable embedding videos in category descriptions?

    Hey Kevin,

    I don’t really think it would work and Enfold doesn’t offer such feature also wordpress doesn’t do it (Category description is from WordPress). I think you might want to check out some plugin for example https://wordpress.org/plugins/allow-html-in-category-descriptions/ which allows html codes, I think you can use iframe to embed video using that plugin.
