Good morning,
I used this code to successfully create an “contact us” area on my site. It looks great on the site but no one is able to contact me through it! Big problem so appreciate any insight if I should change my code or try something else.
Thank you
<p>[av_contact email=' (Email address hidden if logged out) ' button='Submit' title='Talk To A Counselor' sent='Thank you for contacting us! We look forward to connecting with you soon!' subject='' autorespond='' captcha='active']<br />[av_contact_field label='Name' type='text' options='' check='is_empty' width='']<br />[av_contact_field label='E-Mail' type='text' options='' check='is_email' width='']<br />[av_contact_field label='Subject' type='text' options='' check='is_empty' width='']<br />[av_contact_field label='Message' type='textarea' options='' check='is_empty' width='']<br />[/av_contact]</p>

Please try to install (and configure) this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/webriti-smtp-mail/ – if the contact form still doesn’t work even if smtp is used please try to install another contact form plugin like: https://wordpress.org/plugins/contact-form-7/ and check if this plugin can send mails from your server.
Best regards,

May 28, 2014 at 11:55 pm #271514May 29, 2014 at 1:48 am #271555Thank you for the tips. I was playing around and found the root of my problem is in my email server. I tested my gmail account ” (Email address hidden if logged out) ” and all of the contact areas on my site worked.
However, my preferred email is always accessed through gmail ” (Email address hidden if logged out) ” which I purchased with my website from godaddy.com.
Do you think this problem is most likely corrected on godaddy, on features within my (Email address hidden if logged out) gmail server or on my wordpress site?
Have any insight how I could rectify this?
At least I have a temporary solution for clients to contact me routing my email through different accounts but I would really like to clear up this problem.
Thank you very much!
May 29, 2014 at 2:00 am #271563You could set a forwarding from the gmail that receives the messages to the one who doesn’t:
Cheers!
