Hi
On one of our websites we have the problem, that the settings of the visibility of an element do not work.
For example we have a grid line (Rasterzeile) at home. There we set all checkboxes:- Hide on big screens (Auf grossen Bildschirmen verstecken)
- Hide on medium-sized screens (Auf mittelgrossen Bildschirmen verbergen)
- Hide on small screens (Auf kleinen Bildschirmen verbergen)
- Hide on very small screens (Auf sehr kleinen Bildschirmen verbergen)
But it is still shown on the website.
On all other websites this works.
What is wrong here?
Thanks very much.
Best regards
MikeOctober 26, 2020 at 2:56 am #1255594Hey Michael,
Sorry for the very late reply and thanks for the login and link to your page. I believe you are talking about the forth section with the dog images, please see the screenshot in Private Content area.
So this element only has the two smallest sizes checked, but they seem to be working for me, what device are you seeing this section on? Portrait or landscape?Best regards,
MikeOctober 27, 2020 at 12:20 pm #1256006Hi Mike
We added a color section, there you can see the problem.
As you see on the screenshots in the private content section, we deactivated it for all screens. But it is shown on all screens. Then on desktops it looks fine, on mobile it looks very ugly ;-)
It looks like the settings do not have any effect…
Best regards
MikeOctober 28, 2020 at 1:17 pm #1256360Hi,
Thanks for your feedback, I tested selecting all of the screen options on a color section on a new install and it seems to work correctly, by not showing at all.
Have you tried disabling your other plugins to check for a conflict?
What is your goal for this element if you want to hide it for all screens?Best regards,
MikeOctober 28, 2020 at 1:39 pm #1256366Hi
This was only an example. It also did not work, when we hide it only on very small and/or small devices.
On this website we only have 5 plugins.
3 of them are WPML and we need this for having multilingual functionality.
The other 2 I disalbed but it still does not work.
Could it be, that this section is corrupted? And if yes, what coud be the reason for that it is corrupted…
Best regards
MikeOctober 29, 2020 at 1:36 pm #1256708Hi,
Please try Enabling the Avia Layout Builder Debug, I can then copy your page shortcode to my localhost and check if your shortcode is corrupt. Do you use the “template” feature where you are re-using shortcode from one page to another?
Sometimes, a user will add HTML tags to the element “title”, such as “strong” but they forget the closing tag, and when the “template” is re-used the error shows, and the “template” can not be used.
Does this sound like your work-flow?Best regards,
MikeNovember 3, 2020 at 2:16 pm #1257996Hi Mike
See the shorcode in the private content section.
The promo boxes at the bottom of the page (before the footer) i.e. “Zucht”, “Garten”, “Tiere”, “Haus” are shown everywhere but shouldn’t.
Thanks for helping.
Best regards
MikeNovember 4, 2020 at 1:34 pm #1258254Hi,
Thanks for the page shortcode, so as-is the last color section shows with the promo boxes “Zucht”, “Garten”, “Tiere”, “Haus”
with all of the screen options selected. But I find that removing the masonry under “of Summer Snow News” seems to correct.
It is odd that removing is one element seems to correct, I tried to recreate the page from scratch but couldn’t.
What is your goal for this element if you want to hide it for all screens?Best regards,

Sorry about the late answer. We rebuilded the pages with problems, now it seems to be ok again.
You can close this issue.
Thanks very much.
Best regards
