Hey there, so i am happy to see the new ability to edit product pages. is there a tutorial on this yet? To arrange page layout? I am baffled this can be done in admin panel but im ready to give it a shot!

    Hi Austin!

I don’t think we have any tutorials on it yet. It’s pretty easy to do though. It’s just like editing a page but in the layout editor you click on “Plugin Additions” and you’ll see all of the product elements to drag around such as the reviews, product info, etc etc.

    Regards,

I assume that using the advanced editor wont change the woocommerce single page layout (template). The two different versions in the demo is actual customization of the woomerce templates with features of the new elements from the update?

Also, my next question, when it comes to modifying woo templates. I watched a video and it said to take the default templates files that I want to edit from the woomerce subfolder in plugins folder and create a new woocommerce folder in the child theme and put the edited templates there. Is this best practice to use with the Enfold theme? thanks

    Hey!

It’s more advanced than that with Enfold. We don’t use the WooCommerce templates but filters which you can find in the /config-woocommerce/config.php.

If I need to create a custom layout / look for a product then I would just use the advanced layout editor when editing a product post. You can use a lot of the WooCommerce shortcodes that way, http://docs.woothemes.com/document/woocommerce-shortcodes/, as well as our custom WooCommerce elements in the “Plugin Additions” tab.

    Cheers!
