    I am trying to add a special heading and maybe some other elements to the blog posts page on my site and when I make the changes using Layout Builder, nothing happens! What am I doing wrong?

    yep! and nothing happens! I tried last week too and got frustrated so I put it off to revisit today and still not working. So odd.

    So I created a brand new blog posts page and was able to add a special heading and color section at the top. Then, when I went to the Enfold section of the dashboard and updated where the blog posts page should be in that drop down menu, it took away the work I had done. It appears to me that whatever page I have selected as the “posts page” , I will be unable to do layout changes to this page. Why is this? Putting login credentials in the private section below.

    Hi,

    In the settings>reading section on the dashboard when you set blog to the post listing page that is a setting native to WordPress so it overrides the other settings imposed on the page by ALB or Enfold Theme Options.

    Ok, thank you! so I unchecked the page to display for the blog and my header now shows again. Is there anything wrong with leaving this blank in the reading section? I want to make sure I’m not causing any ill effect by doing this.

    Hi,

    No if don’t have any intentions of showing a page of posts listed then there is no problem with leaving that section blank.
