I would like to remove the “All” category and preselect a different one instead.
I found numerous solutions here and there that use JQuery to click on another masonry filter, but being loaded at the bottom of the page, this solution is very ugly since it firstly let you see the page with masonry displaying all the items, then after some seconds (depending on newtork speed) it automatically switches category. To the end user it looks like a glitch.
Is there a file i can edit to change the effective default masonry category? This has been requested by people numerous times…
Please no JQuery code to add to the bottom of functions.php!
Thanks!
Here is a video of the problem… it’s pretty ugly: https://youtu.be/qTuY1uTQ4Ns
Plus, as you can see in the video, the images are loaded in a top to bottom way. Before uploading images to wordpress i compressed and saved them in progressive format on photoshop. Why then enfold uses baseline thumbnails? Progressive images should load straight away, but at a lower resolution first. Baseline load from top to bottom and looks ugly, if i am correct
Hello?
Hi Leofiori,
The way images are loaded is mostly decided by the browser, not by the WordPress theme.
The file you might want to look at is /config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/masonry_entries/masonry_entries.php
If you need further assistance please let us know.
Best regards,
Victoria
