Hello,
I have looked at a number of other inquires on this, but nothing seems to work for me, plus I would like to know how to add to my child theme so it doesn’t get overwritten on update. Here’s a link to a blog entry on the site in question, http://indegdgoal.wpengine.com/comfortable-in-the-uncomfortable/ (hosted on WPengine) . Just need to show more of the featured image that’s being hidden, maybe increasing the height by 200px. Let me know if you need anything else.
Thank you!
Chris
Hey ind-image,
The child theme doesn’t get overwritten during a theme update, only parent themes. Regarding the image, it seems it’s been cropped (you can see the image being cropped in the link below “private content”). Try using https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-image-sizes/ and change the image size for blogposts and regenerate the images (the instruction on how to use it can be found in the link). Hope this helps :)
Best regards,
Nikko
Hi Nikko,
I understand about the child theme, I was just wondering how to add the custom code to it and not directly to my theme files. I already had the plugin simple image sizes installed so I messed with it a little and was able to achieve what I was looking for. I apologize for starting a new topic for something the plugin could accomplish, but the other posts had changes to template files as well as using this plugin. This topic can be closed.
Thank you!
Chris
