Hi there,
I have an issue with the Easy Slider that I am hoping you can help with.
I have set the slideshow image size as: Featured (1500×430).
Therefore, I created an image sized 1500px width x 430px height.
What’s confusing me is that, when the slideshow plays, the height of the image that I created is different to the height of the other (demo) images in the slideshow. Shouldn’t all the images in the slideshow be sized 1500×430 pixels?
Many thanks, Andrea
May 27, 2017 at 7:04 pm #800612Hey e-availability,
If the screen is smaller that 1500 or the container for the slider, the image scales and so you get different dimensions.
Can you give us temporary admin access to your website in the private content box below, so that we can have a closer look.Best regards,

May 29, 2017 at 6:04 pm #801177Hi Victoria,
Yeah, I’ve made an assumption that if I’m setting the slideshow image size to one of the defaults – currently Featured (1500x 430) – and I create an image using those dimensions, it will fit perfectly (the screen size is larger than 1500) and scale down proportionally on smaller devices. It’s the seemingly random cropping that I’m struggling with.
I’ve included admin access in the private content below.
Many thanks, Andrea

Antonio GerardiMay 31, 2017 at 9:19 am #801888Hi there,
I’m following up on an Easy slider issue. Victoria asked me to provide temporary admin access to our website – which we did. But I didn’t hear back. I can see a conversation between Antonio Geradi and John Torvik, so I’m writing again in case our post somehow got lost in the mix.
To recap, I have set the slideshow image size as: Featured (1500×430). Therefore, I created an image sized 1500px width x 430px height. However, when the slideshow plays:
1. Neither image displays at 1500×430
2. Within the slideshow, the height of the image that I created is different to the height of the demo image in the slideshow. I.e. the depth of the slideshow changes. Shouldn’t all the images in the slideshow be sized 1500×430 pixels? Many thanks, Andrea

Sorry for the late reply. Could you please specify the page where I can see the easy slider that you have an issue with.

VictoriaJune 1, 2017 at 4:00 pm #802621Hi Victoria,
See for example, this page: http://176.32.230.26/albahighlandcottages.co.uk/ptarmigan-cottage/
I have included WP login details in the Private Context box.
To recap, I set the slideshow image size as: Featured (1500×430). I then created an image sized 1500px width x 430px height. I left one of the Enfold demo images in the slideshow. So, the slideshow has 2 images: one created by myself and an Enfold demo image.
The two images display with a different height. Neither image displays at 1500px x 430px. And the Enfold demo image is cropped top and bottom.
Many thanks, Andrea
June 1, 2017 at 7:54 pm #802753Hi Andrea,
Images with different aspect ratios scale differently, and if you want images to look the same in the slider, they do have to have the same sizes.
Also the images do not show at 1500px, because they are inside of the container that has limited width:
.responsive .container { max-width: 1310px; }
This also affects Layer Slider dimensions and images sizes.
Let’s try to narrow down your issue. Can you describe what you need to achieve and we try to focus on that.
Best regards,
VictoriaJune 7, 2017 at 9:51 am #804969Thanks Victoria,
I’d just like to know what dimensions (width x height) to create Easy Slider slideshow images at :)
Now I have a width – 1310px – and I know that the Easy Slider setting ‘Slideshow Image Size’ doesn’t necessarily display images at the size that you select from the options available.
So, I am creating images at 1310px wide and 47 px height. And, I have set the ‘Slideshow Image Size’ to ‘No Scaling’. The images don’t display at 1310px (even when the browser window is full width), but the proportions are Ok.
Many thanks, Andrea!
