    Is there a way to make a unique slug for different portfolio pieces?

    Possibly duplicate whatever created the portfolio piece in code but have it have a “2” after it so it would show up in the Dashboard as Portfolio 2 and I could make it so when people are clicking on the little side arrows wouldn’t connect to those in the different category.

    I’m sorry but I’m not really sure I understand.

    It sounds like your wanting to create another portfolio category or perhaps create a new custom post type. You can use this plugin to easily create new post types, https://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-post-type-ui/.
