    The dropcap1 is not appearing on my pages (see Private Content a link to one of the pages).

    Previously, Kriesi support had provided the CSS below so that I could make adjustments to the dropcaps and the change was implemented in Appearance > Editor > Enfold Child: Stylesheet.

    .av_dropcap1 {
    font-family: arvo!important;
    font-size: 60px;
    line-height: 60%!important;
    margin: 4px 8px 0 0 !important;}

    I disabled the above CSS to determine if it made a difference, but the dropcaps are not appearing on any of my pages. There are hundreds of pages without any dropcaps.

    It seems that the dropcaps are not appearing since the latest update. Can you help me understand why? Were there any modification in the latest update?

    Thank you for the help.

    Hey J,

    Thank you for using Enfold.

    The dropcap containers are gone, but we are not really sure why. Would you mind changing the account’s user role to admin so that we can edit the page or the settings if necessary?

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    I have previously inserted data into the private area but I do not see the data in the correct field and I have not had any responses since. Therefore,I am trying again.

    New information:
    Please note that I have also discovered that the responsive tables do not work either with ENFOLD 4.5.4. Consequently, I deleted ENFOLD 4.5.4 and re-installed 4.5.3 and everything works perfectly. You can see it working correctly at my official website.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the update.

    It seems to be an issue with your CDN loading the old version of the merged stylesheets. This is the error in the console.

    Please purge the CDNcache, disable it temporarily and then toggle the Enfold > Performance > File Compression settings before enabling CDN back.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    I have finally returned from travel and was able to apply the recommended solution to the problem, but it did not work.

    We purged the can cache and disabled the cdn. Then we deleted the Enfold 4.5.3 theme and then installed 4.5.4 via the backend. We disabled the Enfold > Performance > File Compression settings. Once again we purged all the caches, including the con cache and turned the con back on. But the anomaly still remains.

    Please see the private content section for more information that may be helpful in finding the anomaly.

    I contacted another developer who works with us and asked her to investigate the problem.Here is her report:

    It’s definitely an Enfold shortcode. I looked up their coding and tried to see what the difference was between 4.5.3 and 4.5.4 and I couldn’t see anything in that particular shortcode. They must have changed something elsewhere when rendering the code.

    If I add a non enfold shortcode in addition to the drop cap it doesn’t work. But if I add an Enfold shortcode in addition to the drop cap, the drop cap suddenly works. Somehow it’s not outputting the dropcap. I even added code in to print something on the screen as soon as the shortcode rendering function is called and nothing.

    I hope this helps.

    Hi, I also want to report that the dropcaps are not appearing on Enfold 4.5.4. If I add other non Enfold Shortcodes those shortcodes work, but not the dropcaps.

    If I add an additional Enfold shortcode, the dropcaps appear. See link in private comment.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the info.

    If I add an additional Enfold shortcode, the dropcaps appear. See link in private comment.

    We are still not sure why the dropcap is not displaying when there is no other shortcode present in the page. We’ll tag one of our developers to the issue. Please try to include a separator/whitespace shortcode in the page to fix the issue temporarily.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hey!

    Please try to use the latest version 4.5.5.

    Using this version I cannot reproduce the problem with dropcaps.

    Best regards,
    Günter

    Thank you. Enfold 4.5.5 does work. The problem is now solved.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the feedback. Glad we could solve the problem.

    Enjoy the theme and feel free to come backmif you need further assistance. Have a nice day.

    Best regards,
    Günter
