    Hi
    I had completed a draft post yesterday however now when opening it there is a lot of content missing from the bottom and the final element text box appears strange – with [av_textblock] appearing in the visual tab and only half the original text.

    When I preview the post the entire content is visible, but I can’t find all the content in the back end.

    Can you help?

    I tried restoring a backup from the message at the top of the post but now I don’t even have the completed content in the preview page. Can you help me get my missing content back?

    Which element on that page are you referring to?

    Could you please enable the Advanced Layout Builder debug mode. Here is how to do it:

    Hi Victoria,

    I’ve enabled the debug mode as you requested. The final text block showing is not complete and I’m missing all the other elements that followed it. Also, one of the pictures in the ‘Chili Peppers’ section is aligning to the left when I preview.

    We’re trying to get this post finished for today. Can you help?

    Hi Kim,

    Thanks for the update, the last text in both the post and when viewing the post on my end is this:

    A Danish influenced cafe located on the open ground floor of the coworking Ololohaus building, Hygge is a minimal, stripped back space, all exposed concrete and floor to ceiling windows.

    The friendly staff serve up

    Is that correct or not or is there text missing? If there is text missing then could you try to add it again manually?

    Also please try to manually remove the text block shortcode within that last text block.

    The last text box about the Danish cafe is NOT complete, and I have a lot more content missing after this too. I could have manually added it all again, but given that this was half a days work for me I didn’t want to do this and contacted the support team 3 days ago to try and fix the problem instead.

    I don’t understand why, suddenly, half my post has disappeared despite me saving regularly. I am reluctant to spend hours re-creating this or future blog posts knowing that this problem could occur again but not how to fix it.

    Victoria requested I enable the debug mode, which is why there is a text element of shortcode now appearing at the end.

    I need to publish this post ASAP, is it possible to get my missing content back?

    Hi Kim,

    I’m really sorry but the missing content doesn’t seem to be in the revisions, the first revision only contains the text down to what I quoted in my last reply. The layout builder is unfortunately a bit sensitive to open html markup which is the likely cause of this problem, so please be careful to close any markup you might be adding in the future.
