I’ve asked this in a couple of other posts but it hasn’t been addressed.
I have been unable to find within the theme settings a form that can be used as a newsletter sign-up. Because of this I have attempted to use several different plugins, none of which work. All I get on that page is “Nothing Found. Sorry no posts matched your criteria.”
My webhost says “I would suggest that your theme does not support contact forms or third-party plug-ins (since you’re having similar results with other plug-ins)”. However, I’ve looked at numerous of the sites listed in the Showcase thread and many of them have sign-up forms, so there *must* be something that will work! He also says “The warning “no posts match your criteria” indicates that it is a PHP-based problem. This backs up the idea that the plug-in is not supported [by the theme], as PHP is a call/response code interacting with WordPress’ core root files and not the theme files.”
So, my question is, how or what do I have to do to get a working sign-up form on my site?
January 18, 2015 at 10:50 am #381421Hi Anastasia!
Thank you for using Enfold.
While Enfold doesn’t have a default subscribe to newsletter form, I’m sure there are plugins out there that will work seamlessly with the theme. Please try the following plugins:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/mailchimp-for-wp/
https://wordpress.org/plugins/newsletter-sign-up/
https://wordpress.org/plugins/newsletter-signup-form-by-comm100/
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-mailup/

IsmaelJanuary 19, 2015 at 9:26 pm #382095Ismael – Thanks, but I’ve tried several of those plugins already (as well as a few others), and none of them will work with this theme. I’ve been fighting with this thing since I purchased it about two weeks ago, and I’m pretty much beyond frustrated. According to my website host, because Enfold “does a lot of re-writing and additions to the default WordPress coding, most plugins will either fail to install correctly or will cause corruption of the site files.” If I have to basically perform brain surgery to restore my website to anything even approaching functional because it breaks every time I touch it, this theme is useless to me.
January 20, 2015 at 10:19 pm #382749Hey!
I once successfully set-up a Mailchimp form with this plugin for a client using Enfold, could you please try it and detail what exactly doesn’t work?
Cheers!
JosueJanuary 21, 2015 at 2:36 am #382839Josue – With the help of a friend who uses Enfold on her own site, the newsletter sign-up form is now successfully showing up (yay!).
However, there appears to be compatibility issue of some kind with the Yoast WordPress SEO plugin, which I have addressed in my other thread.
