I don’t know if this is Enfold related, but since the time of Enfold 3.2.2 release I am not any time not able to save my edited post or page or product. I open an existing one, edit and like to save, but get a server not found message and blank bowser window. Or in another case, I like to open in advanced layout editor an element any case and get a message like no content. It seems as there is something with javascript in case of within latest Safari or Chrome browser under Max OS X 10.10.3/4.
Do you have any idea why this happens?
Working this way is very frustrating because I do loose often my changes and have to do it twice.

Could you please provide us with a temporary admin login so that we can take a closer look? You can post the details in the Private Content section of your reply.
Cheers!
RikardJuly 12, 2015 at 10:08 am #471984Hi Rikard, attached you find the details for login. This site uses a huge amount of plugins, especially for woocommerce. But I do have this behavior on customer sites too, were only few plugins are installed and activated.
Thanks.
July 14, 2015 at 11:13 am #472988Hey!
please deactivate all plugins, to check if one is causing a conflict. If this does not help then please update the theme again (via FTP).
Best regards,
AndyJuly 26, 2015 at 9:38 am #478715Hi Andy, I support about few sites, many of them with enfold as theme. All of them run latest WordPress. Some have up to twenty premium plugins as mine, few only have one or two plugins and I am working on a new site, which has no plugin til now, because I am at setup.
I do have this behavior on all sites, equal how many plugins installed or activated. But I do remember, that lost connection comes often at times, were higher traffic is usual in internet as around middays or in early evening times.
Is this a WordPress, Enfold, or else bug? I see the more use of javascript in all components. Maybe its my hosting provider where the server is not able respond in short time for javascript/Ajax? I had this behavior in Enfold setup tab too, were I made changes and tried saving and got a message, that saving failed. I could click on save again and it was saved. But Enfold pane uses Javascript too heavily. Yesterday I had put a form element in a page and had to modify it few times with about 10 fields and there I had this lost connection few times.
Cheers, Adrian
July 26, 2015 at 9:45 am #478716In case it may have its reason on server side: my server had setup php 5.4 as Apache modul. For testing I switched over to php 5.5 and php 5.6 stable releases but as cgi. Both, php 5.5 and 5.6 brought a small performance kick to my site overall, but the lost connection phenomen is still there.
July 27, 2015 at 8:57 am #478947Hey!
It’s very difficult to say what could be causing that, but I would start off by clearing browser cache and restarting, restart or reset your internet connection as well. If have a hard time seeing that this is a theme issue but you could start off by doing those things to see if you see any improvements.

RikardAugust 19, 2015 at 11:27 am #489943Well Rikard, I did in the past few things in this case.
I bought a ethernet cable for my MacBook, because Apple had with its latest OS some bugs in case of lost WLAN connections. This should be solved the static cable connection.
I checked Caches on Server at Host, Caches in my WP (no Cache Plugins were used before), deactivated all Plugins on a site and gave it a new trial. I gave WordPress more memory, now 256 MB.
I upgraded all components to latest versions. I tried Chrome Browser as well as Safari on Mac OS. Browser caches were cleared few times, then I switched Browser cache completely off.
Few minutes ago I wrote on one site a fifteen minute long text and did a simple save: got a blank page were Browser says, no connection to site.

August 20, 2015 at 6:44 am #490558Hi,
What you could do it to activate debug mode so that you can see the shortcode: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/enable-advanced-layout-builder-debug/. After that copy the shortcode each time you want to save the page and if you should get that error again just can just go back to the page and paste the shortcode and all your edits should be fine to try and save again.
Regards,
Rikard -
