Hi – I am trying to figure out how to make a gallery of self-made MP4 videos (from screen recordings) and I notice your documentation videos pretty much do what I want. How did you build that? I note they seem to be Vimeo video – would this work with self hosted MP4 (H264) video?
I’d be happy if it was in a lightbox style too but cannot figure out how to do that.Hey Colin,
Please use the “Video” element under the Advanced Layout Builder > Media elements tab. You can play self-hosted videos or from popular video sites like YouTube and Vimeo.
To open a video in lightbox add an Image element then set the “Image Link?” to “Set manually”. Add the youtube/Vimeo video. It will open the video in a lightbox automatically.

I tried both the video element and the image link but neither seem to trigger the lightbox.
With an MP4 file I can place it in a video element and it plays, but I cannot see how I can make it larger – I wanted to make a grid, like a video gallery, and have them pop out lightbox style – but no bigger than the screen size or the maximum width – but that doesn’t seem to work.
I even tried linking a YouTube video to an image, but that didn’t trigger the lightbox either. Where am I going wrong?Hi,

VictoriaSorry, should have realised. The site is really just a testing ground – I have it working again, but updating the theme seems to break it. Please have a look first at the Videos page where I have set 3 MP4 videos (all the smae file). Ideally I’d like to see it work a bit like your documentation videos, or to pop up in a lightbox.
