I saw your very helpful thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/displaying-custom-post-types-inside-of-the-avia-layout-builder/ which did everything I need. However, you had the edit for the meta.php file within: themes > enfold (instead of: enfold-child). I tried placing this in my enfold-child, but it wouldn’t work. It works fine in the parent. So, when I update my next version of Enfold, will I lose my meta.php changes?
January 24, 2016 at 10:09 pm #570917Hi laptophobo!
You have to move the file inside the enfold-child folder, so it will not get modified.
It seems strange that it did not worked, how have you tested it / debuged it?Cheers!
BasilisJanuary 25, 2016 at 6:53 am #571114Yeah, I tried again and still that file is not recognized in the child folder. I double checked the path as well. The debug results are in the Private Content.
Thanks for your help,

you could try to follow this thread, but I guess meta.php won’t work inside child theme unfortunately.
Cheers!
AndyJanuary 27, 2016 at 3:27 am #572530Okay, that’s what I thought. I’ll just have to remember to reload that updated file whenever there is a theme update. But if anyone out there knows a work-around, that would be the best solution.
Thanks for your time.
January 27, 2016 at 11:39 am #572757I just noticed that my Categories, created in the custom post type (which uses your recommended Types plugin) are not showing up in my Menu Categories or site map. Maybe I need to edit another template-builder file before they’ll be accessible?
Your feedback is much appreciated.
January 28, 2016 at 5:26 am #573480Hi!
Are you trying to enable the advance layout builder for you custom post types? Please refer to this link: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-saving-post-type-inclusion-in-child-theme/#post-419261
Cheers!
