    Hey guys,

    I can’t figure out why the menu on this website will not show as the hamburger icon on desktop. It is set to “Display as Icon” in the header settings.
    On my test installation everything worked perfectly so I exported the (child) theme settings and imported them on the live installation.
    Now it doesn’t work. I use the exact same child theme mit custom css on both installations.

    I created you an admin account to check out the back end.

    Any ideas?

    Hi Martin!

    Can you please try enable – disable the option again and see if that will work?
    If not, check from the wp-content folder, to uplaod to the live, the settings folder.

    Hi Basilis,

    thanks for your reply. I tried this several times. When I select “Display as Icon”, the word “Menu” appears in the menu, here’s a screenshot: http://just-car.de/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/Bildschirmfoto-2017-01-15-um-13.11.37.png

    Not sure what you mean with the settings folder. Can’t find anything like this in the enfold wp-content folder. Can you please elaborate?

    go to Dashboard / Menu / and declare a Menu as Enfold Main Menu ! (Mark it at the bottom of the menu settings dialog)
    If you got the standard Menu of WordPress it will not work

    Hey Guenni007,

    thanks for your help. You mean under Design > Menus? I created a new menu there with the specific menu items and set it to main menu.

    Still not working unfortunately. But thanks for the suggestion! :)

    Yes – thats very often that users forgot to do. If there is no such declaration the Hamburger Menu does not work.
    But you do that – so there must be a different reason for it.

    Huh! Maybe there was just a simple caching error. On other devices and in private mode everything works!

    Sorry for bothering you with this. I am not used to caching errors with enfold, normally it changes instantly.

    ach noch eines – beim Impressum solltest du noch was nachbessern.
    Selbst Einzelunternehmen müssen da an Kontaktinfos mehr liefern. Anbieterkennzeichung; Umsatzsteuer ID falls vorhanden DE, … etc. pp.
    Bei Facebook und Instagram Links solltest du auch noch sicherheitshalber in der Datenschutzerklärung was hinzufügen.
    Ganz ok ist zB der Impressums Generator von eRecht24.de
