I was working in the back end of a page. I pulled the Grid Row element into the page, the screen froze and now I can’t access the back-end of any pages at all. When I click EDIT the back end loads, but the area in which all the elements etc live will not load.

    To remedy I have:

    1. Permanently deleted the offending page
    2. Logged in/out several times
    3. Cleared cache
    4. Cleared history

All other page-like elements such as Posts, Recipes, Menus, Media Library are all working perfectly, it’s just the Page area.

Any assistance, I would be most appreciative as development now is completely stopped.

    Hey theepicurienne,

Can you give us temporary admin access to your website in the private content box below, so that we can have a closer look?

Can you please check server log for error?

Here is how to find it: http://snapcreek.com/blog/wordpress-error-log-friend/

    Best regards,
    Victoria

Hi Victoria. Details below. I’ve checked most areas of the site and the only part the “loading circle of death!” is happening is in the Pages section. All else is working fine.

    Please see below.

    Hi,

Thanks for that, though the WordPress login details are not working. Please check and verify.

    Best regards,

I had an “n” sneak in there instead of an “m”. Apologies for that. Should work now.

    Hi,

You are using a very old version of the theme, could you try updating the theme to the latest version (4.3.1) to see if that helps please? http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/

Also, if your posts in other threads are related to this issue then please stick to this thread only. You won’t get help faster if you post in several threads, you will only make us go in circles.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    “Theme Updates
No Updates available. You are running the latest version! (3.3.2)”

Checked manually and got the “Scheduled Maintenance” message.

    From the dashbaord: Themes
Your themes are all up to date.

Can you fix the Pages bug please? I cannot continue with development whilst this theme bug remains.

    Hi,

Then please try updating manually via FTP, you will find instructions in the documentation I linked to.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

Sorry that’s far too technical for me. Why do your themes not automatically update the way other theme vendors do? Can you fix the Pages bug please? I cannot continue with development whilst this theme bug remains.

    Hi,
Please try the Envato Market WordPress Plugin to update your theme via the admin panel. If this doesn’t work for you we could assist with a ftp update if you link to your version via DropBox.
Your page error seems to be due to a plugin conflict, Try disabling your plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.
But please update first as the conflict may be in part due to your very old theme.

    Best regards,
    Mike

Thanks Mike. I appreciate your response. When it first happened, I did disable all plug-ins, cleared the cache, logged out/logged in etc etc…..no result. It was working fine for weeks and now suddenly this Pages problem, which appears to be a known Enfold bug, given the number of times it’s happened for people running the most up-to-date theme..

“Your OAuth Personal Token has been verified. However, there are no WordPress downloadable items in your account.”

Where to now? What do you want me to link to in DropBox?

    #956358

    Hi,
Please link to your copy of the latest enfold via dropbox, I’ll try to update via ftp for you.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    #956428

    Hi,
Sorry, that is version 3.3.2, please download v4.3.1 from your Theme Forest account, and upload to your dropbox.

    Best regards,
    Mike

Done. I’ve logged out. Thanks for your help, Mike.

    #956747

Hi Mike. I’ve updated to the new version and the Page problem has resolved itself. Thank you so much for your assistance and patience. Greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
Glad to hear, we will close this now. Thank you for using Enfold.

    Best regards,
