Hi guys,
I’m testing the new version of the theme, and it seems to be blocking some content at the bottom of my page. Mainly a google map and portions of my footer images. You can compare the staging and the live site with the below links. Just scroll to the bottom of the home page.
I look forward to your help so I can take the latest and greatest version live! =)
Many thanks,
JonathanMarch 21, 2015 at 8:26 pm #415780Seems to be the same thing happening to the reviews at the top of the main page. Thank you for looking into!
March 23, 2015 at 2:31 pm #416373Hey!
Thank you for using Enfold.
The google map element works fine on our installation so it’s either a third party plugin or a custom modification that is causing the issue. Please deactivate all plugins. If it doesn’t work, try to remove the map then add it again.

IsmaelMarch 23, 2015 at 7:19 pm #416602Hi Ismael,
Thanks for looking into. I deactivated all plugins, and then the Google Maps element area wasn’t expanded even. So I went ahead and just activated the plugins that seem to be needed for the google maps element to function and for the footer images and text to show:
– bbPress
– Image Widget
– Simple Rich Text WidgetEverything else is deactivated. I also went ahead and removed and then re-added the widget area.
It is most certainly a theme issue as this problem only starts with the upgrade.
Thank you for your continued assistance on this!

It looks like it’s a problem with the text inside your marker. Send us a WordPress login and we’ll take a closer look.
The google maps does not need any plugins to work.

Please remove the widget area element then use the Google Map element under Media Elements panel instead.

IsmaelMarch 25, 2015 at 5:37 pm #417963Thank you, that works now – but I am still having the issues with the logos at the bottom of the page. Any idea why this is happening after the update? Both the google maps and the logos. Perhaps if we figure out why the logos aren’t showing correctly then I can continue to use the maps widget as it was before and not need to change that either.
Really appreciate your continued help on this.
March 26, 2015 at 6:29 pm #418712Hi!
Is that a plugin your using there in the footer to display those images? It has a weird class name.
It looks like your using custom CSS to style them but the CSS needs adjustment.
Add this to your custom CSS.
#footer .widget { overflow: visible !important; }
You can now see the images to adjust their margins some more like your already doing.
Cheers!
ElliottMarch 26, 2015 at 8:09 pm #418778Yes, I believe it’s using the Image Widget plugin as they are inserted in the Widgets tab under the Appearance menu. Is there a better recommended way of inserting images into the appropriate columns of the footer?
Thanks that works, but why am I having to make these changes to the images and maps after the update? This was never an issue before.

I’m not exactly sure why this happened after the update but glad that you got the issue fixed though :)

RikardMarch 28, 2015 at 12:06 am #419678Thanks Rikard. I would like to keep the maps implementation as is though – any idea why it doesn’t work within the widget area? Is it possible to use the overflow command shown above in a way that will cause this to appear too?
March 30, 2015 at 1:25 am #420146Sorry to bug you guys on this – do you have any idea what content is overflowing into the footer with the update that wasn’t before? I think it may be causing issues with the testimonials occasionally not appearing.
Specifically, if the window is minimized in safari and then gone back to, the testimonials do not show. I’m wondering if the content in the footer that the overflow css fixed is what’s blocking this and the maps widget also (before I changed to the maps element).
Any idea what the new page content introduced with the upgrade is? I think all three issues here may be related?
Thanks!
March 30, 2015 at 8:37 pm #420789Hi!
It looks fine on my end. Are you on a mac? Take a screenshot and highlight what your seeing so we can get a better idea.

I can’t seem to reproduce the issue on my installation. I go to the site, switch to another tab then go back. The slider is still rotating afterwards. I’ll ask the rest of the support team to take a look.
Cheers!

April 1, 2015 at 6:09 pm #422071It might not happen right away – but definitely after minimizing, or going to another window it happens. If you can’t reproduce then don’t worry as obviously a lower priority.
Regarding the maps issue – any idea why after the update the maps widget doesn’t work anymore, and now I need to use the map element? They are two slightly different maps and I’d prefer to use the one I was using before if possible as that also has street view on it. Any idea what changed this with the update?
April 2, 2015 at 12:23 pm #422423Hi!
Have you tried fetching the google map script again? Please post the google map code on pastebin.com. We’ll test it on our installation.
Cheers!
IsmaelApril 3, 2015 at 12:31 am #422836Sorry I don’t understand what that is – I usually just use a widget area with google maps but this stopped working after the update. Now I need to use the Google maps element but it looks different and has less functionality. Any idea how I can continue to use the widget area as I did before the upgrade?
April 4, 2015 at 7:39 pm #423496Hey!
I checked your testimonials and they work fine for me, also after minimizing browser window or opening a new tab.
Please upgrade to Enfold v3.1.3. and check if things get better with google maps for widget area. I can’t reproduce the issue on my installation, so try to deactivate all plugins to check if one is causing this problem.
Best regards,
AndyApril 4, 2015 at 7:58 pm #423499Thanks all, will do! Also, you can go ahead and mark this as closed as most issues were resolved. If there are still any issues after trying with the latest version I’ll open a separate ticket for each one. Too many in here now anyways so I’m sure confusing for everyone :)
Thank you for the continued amazing support!
