Disabling CSS Overlay on images not working

I’ve tried implementing the following code in Quick CSS, but it still doesn’t work:

.image-overlay {
 visibility: hidden;
 }

I’ve also tried removing the image file titles, then saving, but the image titles repopulate automatically.

Please help!
