Disable white Box around slider Control

Hey,

I use the fullwidth slider on my website and I am trying to remove the white box around the minimal white slider controls and the white dots on the bottom of the slider. How can I do that?

I tried the following but it did not work:
#top .av-control-minimal .avia-slideshow-arrows a:before {
border: none!important;
}

Another Problem is that the slider controls are always showing. I only want them to show up on hover.
