Using WordPress 5.2.2 and Enfold 4.5.7
Since I upgraded all new posts, pages and portfolio items that I create with the Advance Layout Editor are being rendered in a different way that the old ones. Not everything is being wrapped inside a “container” class.
Besides this, when I go to edit one of these new posts/pages the Advance Layout Edit doesn’t load by default by instead it shows me the Text Editor and it seems that what I remove or add via the Text Editor is not even being reflected in the Advance Layout Editor when I switch modes of edition.

July 10, 2019 at 6:53 pm #1117537UPDATE: when I restore a previous version (that initially also wasn’t being rendered correctly) after doing a couple of changes, the layout changes again and the “container” wrapper disappears. Moreover, when the layout was wrong, shortcodes were not being rendered and when restoring to a previous version shortcodes work again.

Please try switching to the Classic editor. Here is an article for you

VictoriaJuly 17, 2019 at 2:31 pm #1119590Thanks but that doesn’t help since I already had the classic editor plugin installed and configured so that Gutemberg is entirely disabled.

July 17, 2019 at 6:38 pm #1119652Hi chaponnel,
You have the portfolio.php file in your child theme, the changes in it can be contributing to the issue.
Best regards,
VictoriaJuly 17, 2019 at 11:52 pm #1119739The issue is not only in portfolio items but in pages and posts as well … Moreover, if I disable the child theme and leave only Enfold enabled the issue persists.

July 19, 2019 at 3:29 pm #1120224Hi,
Please disable child theme, then enable Enfold, make sure it is the latest version and clear cache.
Check after if the issue is fixed.Best regards,
BasilisJuly 23, 2019 at 2:18 pm #1121205Closing this issue as it turned out to be a piece of legacy meta-box.class.php in the child theme that, despite being disabled via “troubleshoot plugin” (by WP community) was still being invoked.
