i’m confused how featured image size in blog being used in the enfold.
In my current blog layout “grid” it use a wide image size (i don’t know the size) and it also doesn’t scale the image properly because it crop the left and right portion, seems like to prioritize the image height.
in the single blog layout, the featured image displayed in square layout (i also don’t know the size), it also behave the same, doesn’t scale the image and crop it very rough in the center of the image.
Any guide how do i use featured image properly so the image would show perfectly in blog grid (scaled) and also in the single layout (scaled) ?
Thank you
Hey nikestars!
Wordpress is cropping images by default when uploading. You can control this with a plugin like: https://wordpress.org/support/view/plugin-reviews/simple-image-sizes

what i mean is the image being displayed in the featured image isn’t consistent and always centered on the image without any scalling.
the image itself is fine if displayed inside a blog post.
please see the link to show you what i meant. The featured image is displayed cropped in the left and right although the image file itself is loaded in correct size but not displayed properly (cropped)
please advise
Hi!
The theme has a designated thumbnail for every element in the page. In a post page without a sidebar, the theme applies the “entry_without_sidebar” thumbnail which can have a maximum size of 1210x423px. You can see the thumbnail sizes in the Settings > Media panel if you install the suggested plugin above.
Cheers!
