Dear team,
I have installed the 3.4.6 and use a childtheme. After update to 3.4.7 I become a big fatal designcrash.
I`ll send you the logins, so you can see it live if you do the update to 3.4.7.December 24, 2015 at 12:04 am #557245PS: The update from 3.4.5 zo 3.4.6 was without problems.
December 27, 2015 at 8:42 am #557573Hi,
I couldn’t see anything obviously wrong with your site, could you try to explain a bit further as to what problems you are having?
Thanks,

Ok, so are we allowed to update the theme? Have you made any customisations to the theme at all?

As i understand by design crash you mean the images are not showing correct? please follow the steps below to fix it.
I recommend you download enfold demo and check out the page structure in backend to get an idea how things are setup in different ways.

VinayJanuary 6, 2016 at 10:07 am #560379Hello…
No, Vinay, no. That`s not the problem. I can no more to write, whats the problem, give you access to the site and the ftp annd tell
you, what you must do to see the problem.
OK, again….
I have setup the enfold theme, <strong>I use the child theme</strong>. Every update up to 3.4.6 was ok. After update 3.4.7 the design is bad.
The menu is broken, the font doesn`t work, the site is to big. Show on the links, which I have send with this message. You will see it and tell me, whats to do and why is the design in version 3.4.7 broken.
Is the same website. And its matter, how I do the update to 3.4.7, the result is the same – design crash.January 6, 2016 at 3:34 pm #560567Hey!
If you are using a child theme it should not break/crash the theme when you update it. Unless it is a major update some things might not matchup.
Somehow the css you have is not working correctly with the updated version.
The only way to fix this is to create a new child theme and copy your styles from old child theme and in the process if there are any mismatches you will come to know.
Cheers!
VinayJanuary 6, 2016 at 5:03 pm #560623Hello!
“If you are using a child theme it should not break/crash the theme when you update it. ” This is that, what I mean.
Now I have setup a new child theme, copy my setting /changes into the child, but the result is the same. Crash. So I can say – the problem isn`t the child, the problem is the parent version 3.4.7.
You have the login, please look, whats wrong. My theme setting you can see in the into the normally themeoption. Thats not much, what I have changed.
And I use into the function.php your codesnippet:
add_action( ‘ava_after_main_menu’, ‘enfold_customization_header_widget_area’ );
function enfold_customization_header_widget_area() {
dynamic_sidebar( ‘headerright’ );
}
NOT MORE.January 7, 2016 at 12:49 pm #561150Hi!
The parent theme is picking up the child theme without any issue in the latest version but the css is not hooking up properly
i suggest that you check in Version 3.4.6: which everything looks good if there are any custom codes hard coded in the php or any custom css added via advanced layout builder. when you update the theme some of these custom codes you have added in Version 3.4.6: is not picked up when updated this is just the default way wordpress works there is no problem with the enfold theme.
I only suspect that you have some codes hard coded into Version 3.4.6: files which you might be not aware of.

Vinay -
