My site allows customers to see my fabric inventory and place orders. I need to be able to show future inventory as well as current. I have noticed for several months that when I add my future products that the description field is not displayed. It is not related to Woocommerce 3.4.5 as I saw referenced in another reported issue. I only updated to 3.4.5 about a month ago.
I have found a way to get around the problem, but I don’t like the method. It causes me to do double work. I can use a false onhand greater than zero or I can disable stock management and either method will result in the description field being displayed. However, the status would have to be updated when stock arrives.
Additional testing determined that the short description field displays in all cases, but I do not use that field at all and I do not want to have to start using it to get around the problem. Is there a fix available for this?

Unfortunately, it would require quite some time and customization of the theme to achieve this, so I am sorry to tell you that this is not covered by our support. However, if it’s really important for you to get this done, you can always hire a freelancer to do the job for you :)
Best regards,

That is something specific to WooCommerce although and not our actual software, correct?
Best regards,
