    I tried to install an enfold demo site on a fresh install of wordpress. The backend of the site appears to be working but when I went to preview the site … I’m faced with a blank white screen. Might this be php version issue?

    Yes, it can be the php version.

    Which version of php are you running?

    Can you please check server log for error?
