I am getting the error “Download of files for demo Startup Business Demo didn’t work!
You might want to try reloading the page and then try again.” when trying to download a demo. All we have done so far is:
1) Installed wordpress on the server (godaddy hosted)
2) installed the theme
3) tried to download the demoI see there have been a few threads on this (manual load, changing server settings) and tried a few of the suggestions. But nothing seems to be working.
I was hoping someone could advise – or a moderator could jump on my site to have a look
ThanksMay 25, 2022 at 5:26 pm #1352949Hey sincura,
Thanks for the login details. Which demo are you looking to import?

Thanks for that. I’m seeing the same problem on my end, and it seems to happen because the server is responding with a 500 internal server error on the file in private. Could you share server logs with us please? Also please try reaching out to your hosting provider to see if they can see why the server is responding in that way.

RikardMay 27, 2022 at 1:07 pm #1353143Godaddy have disabled the control files on their end and we have tried to install the demo again but the same error
I have checked the error log files and this error is appearing
[25-May-2022 10:21:31 UTC] PHP Warning: Use of undefined constant ‘avia_demo_store_downloaded_files’ – assumed ‘‘avia_demo_store_downloaded_files’’ (this will throw an Error in a future version of PHP) in /home/d7cczkcpi1gz/public_html/giocavalliconcierge.co/wp-content/themes/enfold/functions-enfold.php on line 568
Have you seen this before?
May 27, 2022 at 1:55 pm #1353156Hi,
Thanks for the update. That is a warning and should not affect any functionality on your site, you could try upgrading the PHP version to see if that has any effect though. I tried importing the demo again, but the server is still responding with a 500 internal server error.

RikardMay 27, 2022 at 4:20 pm #1353175Hello Rikard,
I have updated the PHP to 8.0 and 8.1 and the issue was consistent, I have forwarded this on to the server provider also to see if they can help diagnose,
Are you still looking into this on your end?
Thank you,
May 27, 2022 at 5:58 pm #1353185Hi,
There’s not much to look into unfortunately, since a 500 internal server error is very general. It basically means that something went wrong, but doesn’t specify what. Do you have server error logs which you could share with us maybe? That might reveal something more interesting.
