GuestHi,
I met a guy at a WP conference recently – he enthused about Enfold as a ‘do-it-all’ theme and recommended it to me….except for one thing!
He said when he did a ‘demo import’ (so he could deconstruct and reconstruct to understand how things worked), everything could be changed except for one thing – he could never change the logo.
He said although he put a new logo in the theme options, it never displayed, the enfold ‘hexagon’ just remained on the page. He checked the page source code and it showed his new logo file in the source code…but the enfold logo remained on display. Browser refresh, different browsers, emptying browser caches…all made no difference – he could not get rid of the enfold logo! It drove him mad!
He said he never got a satisfactory answer why this was happening. He ended up moving to the Divi theme…simply because he couldn’t change his logo!
Is there a problem with logos getting ‘stuck’ somehow? I would definitely want to use the (very useful, thankyou!) demo imports, but it would it would all be pointless if I can’t change a logo.
Do you know of this issue, and does it still persist? (I think the guy’s install was a couple of years old, so may have been an earlier version of theme.)
cheers and thanks

Well, we are not getting this kind of request at all recently. Even if a client is not able to change the logo, we are here to help :) One can always write to support and get things sorted or check our docs here:

GuestHello Victoria,
Well, yes, I made a ‘pre-sales’ enquiry because I have not yet purchased Enfold. Therefore I would assume I cannot ‘write to support’ because I am not a registered user. If I am able to write to support, then what is the point of a pre-sales question section?…
Thanks for the link to the Enfold documentation. But I’m certainly not going to wade through it – I thought it might be your job to know your product, to enable you to answer questions?
Or is this just a self-help session?
Best regards,

Thanks for contacting us and sorry for the misunderstanding!
No, this is definitely not the case. Enfold has transparent header feature and an option to display different logo on transparent header. An example can be seen here – https://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-2017/. Please scroll down to see how logo switches. It works this way when sticky header is chosen in Enfold theme options. If you disable it, you would only see transparent logo.
I believe the person you have met was seeing default transparent header logo, which can be replaced in Enfold theme options > Header > Header Transparency tab. If you would not like to display transparent logo, you can simply remove it and it would display your main logo in both transparent and non-transparent header.
I hope that helps! Let us know if you have any other questions :)
Cheers!
