I built my site a year ago, and I’m comfortable with Enfold. However, I realize looking at the demos that there are things I obviously don’t know! Is it still possible to import one or more of the demos and look at how some of the page elements are constructed, without damaging my existing site?
Thanks

You can import specific pages one at a time, not a whole demo. If you do then that will overwrite your theme settings.
If you want to look at specific pages then please activate debug mode in order to see builder shortcodes: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/intro-to-advanced-layout-builder/#debug-mode, then link to the page(s) you want to import and we’ll give you the shortcodes for them.
Best regards,

May 3, 2019 at 6:43 am #1096743Hi,
That is what I explained in my previous post, you have to activate debug mode then import the shortcodes of the page which we can provide for you.

RikardMay 3, 2019 at 3:58 pm #1096927I understand the idea of using debug mode, however, the demo isn’t present on my server, as I only installed the basic Enfold theme. I don’t believe I can use the “import demo” function from the dashboard, can I? This would damage my existing site. So, I’m still confused about how, in debug mode, I am to locate and import the demo items I’m hoping to examine.
Sorry for being such a pain! Thanks for your patience.
May 4, 2019 at 7:39 am #1097115Hi,
No, you can’t import a demo from the dashboard since it would overwrite your theme settings. What I’m saying is that if you enable debug mode, then you will be able to see the shortcodes which make up your content in the Layout Builder. That in turn means that we can give you shortcodes for demo pages which you can then paste into a new page, thus giving you an imported demo page. All you need to do is to enable debug mode, then link to the page(s) you want to import here, and we’ll send you the shortcodes for it/them.
Best regards,
Rikard -
