Purchased Enfold, installed fine but demo content COMES IN WITHOUT ANY IMAGES. among other things…it basically half comes in.
Uninstalled through FTP, re-installed ENFOLD through Dashboard, same issue. Tried different sample data but nada. PLEASE. This is one of the BIG reasons I love Enfold. Can a moderator have a look?ALL BLESSINGS FOR ANY HELP
June 18, 2015 at 9:08 pm #461586Forgot to mention that I’d like to get http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-restaurant/
sample data in. Thanks again.June 19, 2015 at 3:52 am #461661PLEASE PLEASE is there a moderator who can look at my site to see why the SAMPLE DATA will not properly import?
June 19, 2015 at 4:49 pm #462047Hi!
if you stop bumping into your own thread then you would get a faster reply, because your thread gets automatically marked as “answered” when you keep posting and gets behind in our queue.
Not sure what is causing this, but the site seems messed up and I can’t see that you installed the restaurant demo. Go to Enfold->Demo import and choose “Click to import” for the demo in question.
Note that all your settings will get overwritten by this. Are we allowed to import a demo by ourselves on your website?
If it does not work for you I suggest to delete all theme files before installing a fresh copy from your themeforest account via FTP.
Best regards,
AndyJune 19, 2015 at 5:27 pm #462068I am sorry, I did not know I was delaying a response. Thank you.
1. I thought I explained that I have repeatedly tried to install the Restaurant Demo. NONE of the Sample data comes in for any of the Demos.
2. I uninstalled the first Enfold installation via FTP then tried again yesterday. Same problem and thats when I contacted you.
3. I sent my credentials for a Moderator to see what’s going on so yes, you can import a Demo.Thank you again.
June 21, 2015 at 11:53 am #462319Hey!
This seems to be a server related issue because we can’t reproduce it on our end. And thousands of enfold users are not experiencing the same thing. If there’s a chance, please contact your hosting provider regarding this issue. Ask them why the xml files are not being imported correctly. For a workaround, you can try to import the demo files manually. The files are located on enfold > includes > admin > demo folder. Look for the xml files. Before you do that, follow these steps:
1) Download and Install 7zip.
2) Right click on the xml file (restaurant) in the enfold > includes > admin > demo folder -> 7zip -> Add to Archive
3) Change the “Archive format” to gzip and hit “OK”. Make sure that you know the directory of the converted file.
4) After the conversion, go to Tools > Import then import the converted xml file.Cheers!
IsmaelJune 21, 2015 at 6:29 pm #462382Ismael. Thank you for that. I totally agree…Enfold theme and demo files always install seamlessly and without issue so I ditched that hoster and am with a better one. And of course, it installed BEAUTIFULLY.
Love Enfold!!!
PS: we can close this out as resolved.
