Hello,
We are in the process of developing our new Woo Commerce site with Enfold.
We noticed on the check out page that regardless of checkout method, after clicking the “place order” button, the page turns a translucent white (which is normal), but then it takes about 10 to 20 seconds before any further activity is seen.
After clicking a button, I usually expect to see the site favicon in the browser tab turn into a spinning circle, indicating that it is waiting for data, but in this case, nothing happens at all for 10 to 20 seconds, and it looks like a site crash, until the page refreshes and shows that the order went through.
No other pages on the entire WP install have this issue.
Thanks for the help.

Please, may you provide us your website link?

John TorvikMay 17, 2017 at 6:32 am #794660Could you possibly try to address my issue without seeing our site? It is currently under development and closed to the public.
May 17, 2017 at 6:54 am #794671FYI, while the server was processing the order, I watched cpu usage, and I received spikes around 20% CPU that lasted the length of the order process (about 10 seconds for pay-by-check option, about 20 seconds for authorize.net AIM) on the following processes:
/opt/cpanel/ea-php70/root/usr/bin/php-cgi /home/user/domain/index.php /opt/cpanel/ea-php70/root/usr/bin/php-cgi /home/user/domain/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php

You can provide your website link and other private information through the private content field -> http://prntscr.com/f8qtwu

John TorvikMay 17, 2017 at 7:59 am #794685I understand that I can provide information in the private content field, however, I am requesting that you try to address my issue without my website information. Thank you.
May 17, 2017 at 2:04 pm #794887Hi perfectword,
I’m afraid we cannot help you without at least a link to the page. There are two many variables in servers, environments, connection speeds. It’s an infinite guessing game and we have other users that are waiting for our assistance as well.
Here are some other things to consider:

VictoriaMay 17, 2017 at 6:01 pm #795004Ok. I understand. Well, then maybe you can help me a different way.
I would like to add some kind of image or pop up or something so that when the customer clicks “place order” and the screen becomes translucent white, there would also be some kind of visual indicating to the customer to wait. Could you advise me with that? Thanks.

BasilisMay 18, 2017 at 10:59 pm #796218I understand. Can you at least tell me where I should be looking in the code?
May 19, 2017 at 1:07 pm #796554Hi perfectword,
Normally, it’s a modal overlay with some “loader” gif.
Best regards,
VictoriaMay 19, 2017 at 11:06 pm #796836I appreciate that info, however, could you direct me to the file and code in the Enfold theme that accomplishes this? I’m looking for the code that turns the page translucent white after the “Place Order” button in Woo Commerce is clicked. I assume this is in Enfold. Thanks.
May 24, 2017 at 1:33 pm #798879Hi,
The overlay is not created by the theme so it’s probably a default feature of the plugin. Please provide a temporary login details so that we can check it. Unfortunately, we can’t help you without inspecting the page.

IsmaelJuly 12, 2017 at 1:29 pm #819993Hello,
I also have the same issue as perfectworld, checkout button (final step in order process) takes some 6 to 10 seconds before the user sees any further progress.
You can watch this behaviour here https://GuterStoff.com
Any idea how it comes? The site is almost uptodate with WP 4.8, woo 3.0.9, enfold 4.0.7
Thanks for help
TomJuly 13, 2017 at 11:21 am #820456Hi,
I saw the transparent overlay in the checkout page but it only last for less than 2 seconds. I checked it on Chrome, Windows 7. What browser are you using?
Best regards,
