    I would like to duplicate the default page template to add some custom code of mine in the main body (before the footer), but i cannot find the file.

    I guessed it was page.php, but it’s not: if I modify it, nothing changes in my home page; oh, and my homepage is a “page” using the “Default Template”.

    Any help?

    Hi brutoblo!

    I am pretty sure it’s page.php, but you can try single.php or loop-index.php as well.
