Any idea why it is necessary for me to do this in order to have discussion/comments show up on the live page? I currently have to make changes in the Advanced Layout Editor (to not mess with the Enfold mark up), then switch back to the Default Editor and save the page.
I am using this line of code in the parent theme at the moment in order to see/copy the layout code for other posts:

Thank you very much!
July 17, 2015 at 11:10 am #474795Hi evangray123!
That sounds strange, could you please provide us with a temporary admin login so that we can take a closer look? You can post the details in the Private Content section of your reply.

July 28, 2015 at 5:16 am #479410Hi!
Sorry for the late reply, I tried logging in but the details don’t seem to work, could you check please? Also, could you list a step by step on how to see the error as well?

RikardJuly 30, 2015 at 9:53 pm #480972Please try again, I updated the role setting and it seems to be working now. As for the step by step:
case 1:
1) create a new post,
2) save a post using the advanced editor,
expected result: the comments area WON’T appearcase 2:
1) switch this post to show the default editor,
2) save the post
expected result: the comments area WILL appearThanks!

Sorry, same result unfortunately. Am I logging in at the right address though, I’m trying at http://docs.rid….com/wp-admin
About your use case: yes, that is the way it’s supposed to work. But we will need access to the backend to check out why it’s not working.

August 3, 2015 at 10:38 am #481988Hey,
Thanks for the details, they worked. I didn’t realise this earlier but that is the expected behaviour when are using the ALB for posts. When saving the post in ALB mode, you won’t get the usual components like share buttons and comments which you will get when publishing it with the default editor. If you want the regular look of your post then please use the default editor, you can still use ALB elements by using the Magic Wand tool, or just keep on doing what you have been doing so far, saving the post while in the default editor.
Best regards,
RikardAugust 8, 2015 at 4:35 am #484739Ok, thank you. In that case, consider this a feature request for an option that allows you to keep the share links and comments section on posts, without having to switch the editor type to the default editor to do so. I had to discover this “expected behavior” by trial and error.
Thanks for your support with this Enfold team!
