    Hi Kriesi team,

just translated a blog entry dated 13.10. from English to German under WMPL. However, the German version is published with today’s date. How can I ensure that the translations keep the date of the original post? In the forum I could not find an answer.

    See http://www.thermaltech.at

    Thanks! Petro

    Hi thermaltech!

When you edit the post look to the top right hand corner of the screen under the “Publish” section and there will be a link for the date that says “Edit” which you can use to change when the post was published.

    Best regards,
    Elliott

    Hi Kriesi team,

that was helpful indeed. Now I have the following troubles:
    1. In the footer area I have three widgets “Our Partners”, “Latest News and Posts” and “Tag Cloud” (see http://www.thermaltech.at). Since these widgets need to have different names in the German version, I installed the “Display Widgets” plugin following a recommendation in the Enfold forum. I tried to name them differently according to the language selected on the top of the screen, then selected “Show on checked pages” and finally checked “English” or “German”. Nevertheless, it does not work and I have one widget names in both languages.
    2. In the German version, the widget “Our partners” is displayed a bit lower than in the English version – why is that?
    3. Each time I make a change in the menus I need to re-assign the footer menu in both languages under “Manage Locations”. It’s not a big issue but annoying since I may forget it and then the site is without imprint and other important things. What’s the issue here?

    Thanks for support, cheers
    Petro

    Hi!

1.) Please use the widget logic plugin instead: https://wpml.org/2011/03/howto-display-different-widgets-per-language/

2.) Make sure that the theme options is the same for both language.

3.) This is not happening on our installation. Please post the login details here so that we can test it.

    Regards,
    Ismael
