    Hi.,
I’m running the latest version and am seeing a rather disturbing error in the server error log from WP Engine. Support there said it is a “theme issue”…

Error is in private content. Can you provide any guidance on next steps?

    Thanks!
    Rob

    Hi Rob,

We apologize for the late response.
What php version are you using?
Also, please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.

    1. Install and activate ” Temporary Login Without Password “.
    2. Go to ” Users > Temporary Logins ” on the left-side menu.
    3. Click ” Create New “.
    4. Add the email address for the account ( you can use (Email address hidden if logged out) ), as well as the ” Role ” making that the highest possible and the expiry about four days
( do be sure that we have enough time to debug ).
    5. Click ” Submit “.
    6. You’ll now have a temporary account. Please provide us here in the private section the URL, so we can login and help you out.

When your issue is fixed, you can always remove the plugin!
If you prefer to not use the plugin, you can manually create a admin user and post the login credentials in the “private data” field.

    Best regards,
    Nikko

    Hi Nikko,

    Thanks for jumping in!

I am running php 7.0 and latest version of WP and Enfold.

Re other thread (which you can close) where you said:
    Hi Rob,

Can you try to use the Enfold theme modified by Gunter from the stage site and use it on your live site?
Let us know if this helps.

    Best regards,
    Nikko

Yes, I can copy that over… I wasn’t aware he had modified theme, I thought he had just changed the file so it matched the current theme file. Did he do a patch on the theme on staging? Whatever he did fixed the errors there….

    Thanks,
    Rob

PS I prefer not to provide login credentials for production site unless it’s absolutely essential — I cannot have that site go down for even a minute, and cannot have plugins disabled and re-enabled which is usually the first step. Prefer to get this fixed on staging side and then push patch to production, so I’ll try above suggestion to see if that helps. Thanks for understanding! Rob

    Hi Rob,

I understand. Did the suggestion I gave worked?
Since you have mentioned on that other thread that the staging site had those errors until Gunter made some fixes to it, which most likely would fix the issue on your live site as well.

    Best regards,
    Nikko
