You are free to enable WordFence now, thank you for your patience.
Best regards,
DakeSeptember 2, 2015 at 5:07 am #496827I removed it, but when I hit OK it returns. It doesn’t delete
September 2, 2015 at 5:10 am #496829Hey!
I actually fixed the post on the featured article already. It was using an old url before.
You can now apply those instructions on any other posts/pages with an incorrect url.

DakeSeptember 2, 2015 at 5:12 am #496834Dake, please Visit my site. It has the About page on top and the it’s green where the article should be the formatting is now worse
September 2, 2015 at 5:23 am #496836September 2, 2015 at 5:23 am #496837Hey!
The featured article page was set to a static page and your blog in your theme options and customize section.
Also the about page was being loaded above the featured page.
The conflict seems to be what caused the issue so it now displays properly.

Please note that you may need to clear your website cache in order for it to display properly on your end.
Cheers!
DakeSeptember 2, 2015 at 5:31 am #496839I’m seeing the same problem we started out with. From the website URL, the title is above the picture (it’s supposed to be below it) and the formatting is off.
You have to click on the title (above the picture) and it takes you to the correct feature article formatted URL
Could you please remove the whatever is showing that big title formatting that shows the title above the picture.
September 2, 2015 at 5:37 am #496841Emptied the cache. No change
September 2, 2015 at 5:42 am #496842Hi!
May I please have screenshots of what you are seeing and what the page is supposed to look like?
Best regards,
DakeSeptember 2, 2015 at 5:46 am #496844This is the URL with the proper formatting
http://www.smootheedges.com/mt-mckinley-not-name-denali-high-one/September 2, 2015 at 5:53 am #496845I could never figure out how to remove the Blog-Latest News on this page, but that’s the least of my problems at the moment.
September 2, 2015 at 6:01 am #496846Hi Dake,
I just discovered that if you click on Blog-Latest news it takes you to the URL with the terrible formatting .
Best regardsSeptember 2, 2015 at 2:00 pm #497092Hi Dake,
This is the Correct format (with the title below the picture) . It has always worked for other posts as a featured article until the last Enfold update. If you click on Blog – Latest news it links to the Wrong Format below:
This is the Wrong Format – This is what appears when you enter smootheedges.com
September 2, 2015 at 2:02 pm #497094Correction. Title is above picture in Correct Format. Thanks
September 2, 2015 at 3:46 pm #497204Hey!
Oh you are talking about the title + breadcrumbs section.
The reason why the breadcrumbs and title are different is because your homepage (aka Featured Article page) is only considered as such, your home page.
Clicking the title of the featured article will bring you to the post itself (that’s why you see a different title and featured article in the breadcrumbs (this only appears because featured article is the category it has been set to).
Since you don’t have a dedicated blog page, the latest blog news link navigates to your homepage.
So at this point you can create a new page and set it as your main blog page, but please note that using the featured article page as your homepage and displaying your latest blog post using the blog post element is actually working as expected.

DakeSeptember 2, 2015 at 7:38 pm #497345Hi Dake
So, I create a new new page that you refer to as a dedicated blog page. Do I call it ” A dedicated blog page?” Is there something that I need to check that will make it a dedicated blog page? I’ve been struggling with this since I purchased the theme and have failed to do it correctly. It’s been years and I finally gave up and tried to go the feature article route. Please, how do I indicate that this is my “main blog page”
Then I’ll delete the feature article page.
So, when I publish a new article will it automatically appear on the main blog page?September 2, 2015 at 7:41 pm #497346I’ve gone through the tutorials and can’t find one that specifically addresses setting this up.
ThanksSeptember 3, 2015 at 2:41 am #497464Hey Dake,
Respectfully, if you look at the two pages, the feature article formatting is not working correctly as you said. Before this problem, when we entered smootheedges.com, we immediately saw the correctly formatted feature article. As an example, it would look like this format.
smootheedges.com would link to http://www.smootheedges.com/mt-mckinley-not-name-denali-high-one/
That’s not what we’re seeing now. We’re seeing the incorrect format
This problem has made it difficult for the search engines. They are no longer picking up my website information correctly as they did before. Before this problem, search engines would show the Feature Article under the website URL and go directly to the correctly formatted article.
Bing now looks like this. Totally different than before this problem. The smootheedges.com now links to the badly formatted article and the categories are messed up.
The breadcrumb takes you here – this is new : “Archive for category : Feature Article
Google is also looking very bad now. It didn’t look this way until this problem with the Denali article
Dake I greatly appreciate your help, but it’s been 4 days now and I need to have this fixed. Perhaps we’re having communication difficulties. It’s still not working as it did before the update was installed. Could you kindly ask a colleague to take a look at this?
Regards,September 4, 2015 at 8:07 pm #498585Hey!
I’m not sure what version of Enfold you are updating from, but the main problem here is that your homepage is a regular page using a blog post element and the no sidebar page template (hence why it is labelled home and has the title Featured Article).
If you click the title of the featured blog post, you will end up on the blog post template for the featured article. That is why the format changes, the title is different and the breadcrumbs appear longer.
Your use of a separate page with the blog post element (instead of setting a dedicated blog page) is a little unorthodox, but this is actually how the titles and breadcrumbs are supposed to appear.
Best regards,
DakeSeptember 4, 2015 at 8:43 pm #498589Hi Dake,
Thank you for your patience. This is an awesome theme that is only limited by my lack of knowledge of how to do it justice. I’m grateful for your support. Please bear with me.A dedicated blog page is a new page. You advise to “set it as your main blog”. Could you kindly explain how it is accomplished..
Then I direct what is now my :”featured article” to the dedicated blog page?
Is this correct?
Thanks again Dake!September 7, 2015 at 6:29 pm #499477Hi!
Where do we login at? I get a 404 not found error on both the wp-admin and wp-login permalinks.
Your just trying to display a featured article on your homepage but the styling looks different correct?

ElliottSeptember 7, 2015 at 8:52 pm #499513Hi Elliot,
Thanks so much for your help. Yes, I’d like the homepage to be the featured article. And yes, the styling looks different.
Best regards!September 8, 2015 at 2:39 pm #499885Hi Elliot,
It’s been a week and I’m grateful for your help to get the problem resolved. The featured article page should be the homepage and the styling should look like
