Hi support,
today I happened to notice the following problem:
I wanted to check something with the customizer. After starting the Customizer, the WP login window suddenly popped open with the message that the session had expired and that I should log in again to continue. After logging in, however, nothing could be changed on the child theme because the customizer cannot open the child theme. Oddly enough, I can access the parent theme using the customizer. Unfortunately, I have no plan where to start to fix the error. I haven’t found anything about it in the forum either.
I am very grateful for any help.
Hey LFK,
Thanks for the login token, I can’t see any problems on my end though. Could you give us step by step instructions on how to reproduce the problem please?
Best regards,
Rikard
Hi Rikard,
Thank you for your answer.
That means you could start the customizer and had access to the child theme?
For me it still behaves as described in the first post. No matter which browser I try.
Best regards,
Markus
Hi Markus,
I’m not sure exactly what you mean, but I can’t see any problems if I go to Appearance->Customizer, or Appearance->Theme-Editor. Which of those are you having problems with?
Best regards,
Rikard
Hi Rikard,
please log in as admin. Then go to Design / Customizer and select the child theme. Then the hourglass turns and nothing happens …
I also gave you the link to a video. Please take a look at that. I hope you can help me.
Best regards,
Markus
Hi Markus,
Thanks for the video and clarification. I can’t reproduce those results on my end though, please see screenshot in private for what I see when going to Appearance->Customizer when you child theme is active. Could you try using a different browser to see if that helps?
Best regards,
Rikard
