    Hi,

On my blog, I have a breadscrumb and each post is linked to a category page. For instance, I’ve written posts on wines of Burgundy, and I would like to customise the category page “Burgundy” with the Avia Layout Builder.

Do you know how to do so ?

I give you a URL link to one of my category page.

    Thanks

    Hey barthalgar,

I’m sorry but you can’t modify the archive pages by using the advanced layout builder. You have to modify the actual archive.php file in your child theme’s folder.

You can change the blog style, however. Please see our documentation here: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/change-archive-categorytag-blog-style/

    I hope that helps!

    Best regards,
    Sarah

OK thanks Sarah for your quick answer. Yet, I’m not a web developer so I’m not comfortable with changing the archive.php file.

Can you explain me how to remove the blog posts list from the archive page ? Indeed, I’d like to add only pictures that link to other child categories of the parent category.

    Thanks in advance !

    Hi,

Maybe, an other way to fix my problem is to set manually the breadcrumb.

Indeed, I want to have a silo structure to optimise SEO for my blog. Thus, it’s important for me to customise the parent pages of a post.

As it is not possible to do so for a category page, I’d like to know how I can set up manually the breadcrumb with URL. For instance, as you can see on the link, the page is a child of the following pages : “Guide des destinations” and “Vignoble Bordeaux”. These 2 pages are category pages. I’d like to create 2 other pages with the advanced layout builder, and set these two pages as parent links on the breadscrumb of this current page. In other words, I’d like to set up manually the breadcrumb of each page on my website with specific URL (not only category pages).

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi barthalgar,

If the solutions provided in the thread Sarah gave you seem complicated and that is something that you reaaly need to do, you might want to hire a freelancer to do it for you. Or look for a plugin that would allow you to set breadcrumbs manually.

If you need further assistance please let us know.
    Best regards,
    Victoria
