    Hello,

in min. 3 different Websites we build with enfold, the custom widget areas are not working anymore. the elements previously contained herein, are now in the inactive area on the left side (backend) and can not be pushed back.

I guess this happens after the last updates.

What can we do to fix it?

    Thanks in advance for support!

    Best regards,

    Hey jugalbandi3!

We are unable to login to the URL mostly because of an .htaccess login access. please provide us with working credentials for both page password and wordpress admin so we can take a closer look at this issue.

    Cheers!

    Hi,

a precise link would be for example (please take a look to private content.
Here we used a separate widget area in the right sidebar called “BIOTOP Schwimmteich”.

Previously here shown elements are now (after the last update) in the field “inactive widgets” and can not be pushed back.
To test the problem you can take any element there and try to drop it into any separat widget area.

    Thanks and best regards,

    Hi,

Can you please try de-activating all active plugins and check if that helps?

    Best regards,

    Hi,

Nope – the reason for this behavior is not in the plugins. It was – for whatever reason – the deactivated widget areas.
After reactivation and pushing back the widgets into the specific areas everything is alright now ( – until the next Update?).

    Thanks and best regards,

    Hi,

What is the version of the theme prior to the latest update? There was an issue with the register_sidebar’s id parameter before on WP version 4.2 which is already fixed. https://kriesi.at/support/topic/menus-removed-from-widget-areas/#post-524666

    Best regards,
