    hi

    i created a custom widget, and addet a custom menu – which only contains 3 menu items.

    however, below these 3 it shows a search box, recent posts, recent comments, archive etc…
    how do i get rid of these extra items?

    Hi ptaljaard!

    They are probably widgets you have set in the “Displayed everywhere” widget area. Try removing those in Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets.
